Obviously there would be immense budgetary problems, at this time especially depending on whether or not they're going to stay accurate to various characters, but in my opinion a television series would be able to showcase the vast Mythos of Spider-Man a whole lot better than that of an average movie. I can picture Carnage appearing on television. Does anyone else agree and/or would like this to happen? I would support the hell out of it. I was going to write a series of episodes on a television series proposal in the vein of various Jason / MCAdo threads. I might resurrect that project.

That sounds cool, bro. Is it a modern interpretation - of sorts? - If so, maybe we can do a crossover or something? Lol. I'm practically in love, with the Spider-Man Mythos. I wish we could get a proper live-action television series. Maybe a Venom spin-off down the line.

> "Yeah it's modern. Would be cool if we had a crossover sometime near the end of the second season- beginning of the 3rd, this series also adapts Bram Stoker's "Dracula's Guest and Other Stories" so it might be a bit before we get to the part of the main story where Helsing comes in." < Sounds like you have it sorted out, mate. Be sure, to post it sometime. It sounds like it could be thoroughly entertaining. My concept for Helsing was that it would be somewhat similar to Supernatural. Van Helsing is a disgruntled, but genius hunter of the supernatural who stumbles upon a conspiracy linking him to an ancient threat. It would have little to no ties, with the book. It would be a prequel / re-imagining of sorts. Who would portray Dracula in your proposal? I was going to cast Paul Blackthorne as Helsing. > "I also enjoy the Spiderman mythos. Batman be my fav superhero, but Spiderman is definiteley the one I'd most want to BE." Likewise. :) Although his life is hard. His powers are too damn cool, to pass up. > "What would be a good channel for these series to be on?" < For Spider-Man I was thinking The CW. They're doing a fantastic job with Arrow / Supernatural. As for Dracula / Helsing I guess HBO would be great especially if they're going to be dark, and violent.

Benedict Cumberbatch, perhaps? He is a fantastic actor who can nail the role of a villain. He also looks otherworldly in some ways. There is also ... Marc Warren who did in fact portray Dracula. He's a great actor, but doesn't quite look the role. I can't fathom how great of a show Supernatural is, and that's not exaggeration. It is consistently great, with wonderful acting, character development, and story-lines. The show has an emphesis on demons, possession, and such, but they deal, with a whole manner of supernatural beings such as Ghosts, Wendigos, and much more. I highly recommend it to anyone. If you're a horror fan you might appreciate a lot of the references to horror classics.

Then you will definitely catch the references. For example there is an episode dedicated entirely to classic monster movies such as Dracula, and The Wolfman. It's shot entirely in black and white to capture that classic feel.

Night of the Creeps was cool... I own it through this VHS tape my grandma recorded on from TV so watching it gives it that 90s feel. Awesome flick. "Girls... your dates are here." "What's the bad news?" "They're dead."

They did a series in Hong Kong. It sucked. Many of the cartoon series were never finished, like The Spectacular Spiderman.

> "Who would be a good John Harker?" I think someone that looks like an everyman. I think either Andrew Lee-Potts (Primeval) or David Tennant (Doctor Who) could be a good John Harker. > "Speaking of Benedict CUmberpatch, is Sherlock any good?" It's fantastic, mate. Probably the best adaption of the original material, to date. I love the show, it's genius. I'm also liking the American version Elementary. You should check the two out.

I'm definitely going to write the Spider-Man series now. It's going to have 21 episodes, with a main villain appearing. I expect to have the first season done before summer.

Oh, there's going to be nine seasons overall, with the main villains ultimately being either The Sinister Six or Carnage / Venom symbiotes.

Maybe you can have Dracula reveal that he is a alien and then have the rest of his adventures take place on Mars.
