Tom looked over to his left. He saw a figure, hiding in the shadows. He saw it wave a hand at him, then it dissapeared back into the shadows. "I gotta go to the bathroom..." Tom lied to his brother. Ryan nodded. Tommy crept out of his chair and huddeled over to the mysterious figure. It was his father! He had a bullet wound in his chest and had an eerie glow around his body, which was translucent. "I though you were dead...?" Tom asked his ghostly father.
"I am." rasped the dead soldier ghost infront of Tom.
"Your..." stamppered Tom. "Your a ghost?!" he exclaimed, raising his voice while he didn't mean to. Tom's dad covered his son's mouth with a see-through hand. "Be quiet, boy! I came here to be with you and ryan! So be quiet!" he shouted.
"How come your shouting and I can't?"
"Because I'm a ghost. No-one can hear me except for you. I will reveal myself to your brother later." the ghost smiled. "Go back, son. Go tell your brother the news." And before Tom could protest to anything his father had said, the ghost had faded away. Worried, scared, frightened, tommy stumbled over to his seat. Should he tell his brother? Tommy could not decide. |
