This is a simple solution to removing group ranks, it's easy and better in my opinion. Lets say I had a group, and I wanted to remove one of the ranks from the roster. I would remove it by going to the group settings, and insert the rank into "Group rank storage". The group rank storage is just a storage that will hold an unused rank in a clan. That way if I wanted to use it LATER, its easily accessible and I don't have to waste more money.
Updates: You have the choice of moving the ROBLOXians in that rank either to a lower or higher rank. You can do this by selecting the players one by one to a different rank, or moving all of them at once. NO MONEY is required to store the rank.
