When I try to make a video for my Roblox place, I can't fit enough in 30 seconds.
I am thinking that the place videos should be at least 1 minute long, 1-2 minutes maybe.
The average time for a video game trailer is 1 minute and a half.
If place videos are moderated, then I don't see why you can't moderate it for another 30 seconds.
Pros:
You can make a good and detailed trailer for your game.
You can fit a stuff in (Instead of jamming lots of information together and sticking it into a 30 second video.)
You could make your place look more interesting and catching.
You can show stuff off that you couldn't in 30 seconds.
There is a lot of things that you can with 2 minutes that you can't do with 30 seconds.
Cons:
None!
Come on Roblox, 30 seconds isn't enough!

Place videos should be 1-2 minutes longer, you can do a lot more with that time!
The time is the limit!

I can poke a few holes, adding some cons.
•Adding on to the pile of ROBLOX crap they have to moderate already.
•Taking up time, slowing the process of allowing the video through.
There are also some alternatives:
•Make more than one video.
•Link to the youtube video that's longer than 30 sec.
Though, I half support.

Yea, 30 extra seconds are bad. Over a million of ROBLOXians, 30 procent reporting [Not sure], And you say 30 seconds MORE moderation? No way.

I did say that extra seconds could cost more. (a lot, maybe 2k?)
And if the extra 30 seconds/extra 1 minute costs more, then less people will buy the 1/2 minute video.
More downloading?
Downloading the video to You Tube or downloading when watching?
Either: Its not a big deal; I watch videos all the time and its being downloaded by YOUTUBE.

I seriously don't get how half a minute or more extra is a real problem.
They can just skim through the clip to look for inappropriate stuff.

If you need over 30 seconds to advertise something to a decent standard, that means you aren't good at persuasion.
And that's not just on user-made roblox things.
That applies to everything. |

I completely support this idea. 1-2 minutes longer would be absolutely no problem. How can you think it wouldn't work well with the moderators? It's not much time at all. But 30 seconds is way too short. Think of some very good game trailers... Now think of how messy and gibberish they would be if they were compacted into 30 seconds. It would be crazy. And just because you can't add enough content into 30 seconds doesn't make you "un-persuasive." It's because your game really is that good and/or you do have a lot of stuff to show off. If you can make 1-2 minutes look very good it will attract people more than a big jumble of content packed into 30 seconds. And if you can somehow make 30 seconds persuasive enough, then just think about how much more you could do with extra time. |
