(This is pretty long. So just stay with me now)
As of right now this is just an idea. I would like to do it but I'll need enough people to get involved for it to work.
Okay so recently I have made plans with my friends from school to attend Comicon 2013. So.. why not spread the joy of Comicon on ROBLOX? I have made a group for fans of Comic-Con here:

But I don't really want to stop there. It was a long time ago, but a user of the name "WonkaKid" made a game called RC2009. Which stood for ROBLOX Convention 2009. Everyone who wanted to join in on the fun bought a 'ticket'

And anyone who wanted to create their own personal booth to advertise anything from a place, their favorite movie, their favorite hat, seriously anything could make a booth as a model and send it to WonkaKid to be entered in the Convention Center. After buying the booth fee.

It was an amazing and unique idea. I would love to attempt something of the same idea. 'ROBLOX Comic Convention'. Which would feature booths (made by users of ROBLOXia) that represent anything nerdy. From your favorite anime show, to the Walking Dead, to Borderlands, to Minecraft, to anything involving TV, movies, comics, books, or video games.
I would not make people buy a ticket. I wouldn't even make people pay to add in a booth. I would just take the best I get sent. Lets say two people make an Adventure Time booth, I would just add in the best of the two. Or if this gets big enough, which I don't see happening but still, I could always make a second place with a new selection of booths.
It would be a great socially gathering of nerds talking about nerdy things and having a good time. But most of all it is always fun for people to get involved and represent what they love, with a booth.
What Wonkakid also did was hire staff. I was one of the lucky 16 staff members. (Back in 2009, 16 was more than enough staff. Now days.. we would probably need more IF this gets big enough.

Well. I posted this for you guys to give me constructive critisism. This is a fresh idea and I'm still thinking. But any ideas would be very nice. tl;dr and people being negative of the idea will just be ignored. Thanks for reading. |
