I always used 1.0, when 2.0 came out I used it for about 20 minutes, and said "nope, back to what I'm more comfortable and efficient with."
That being said, I did eventually switch to 2.0 just because of the new tools.
Started up studio today to edit, auto-updated to the 2013 one, which mildly upset me, seeing how I wanted to use what I was used to :p
Immediate issues with the new studio:
-Auto-updates when you open an older version of studio, caught me off guard and I wasn't looking to use the newest version.
-Move parts, has the grid at all times if using the full stud or half stud options, using the no grid option is too undefined for click and dragging, and it's a bit of a hassle when moving larger items when the giant white grid comes up and obstructs the view of where you want to move the item to.
-Click and drag placing seems to throw the item off of the immediate viewing too often. So far 3 out of 5 times I've been putting a brick (dragging) into a corner it flew off below the floor into the skybox. Forcing me to experience one of two things: 1. Succumbing to the grid of the move objects button. 2. Spending much more time than I used to moving objects into the position I want them to be in.
-Already crashed on me once, but after that it's been fine for use.
Immediate plus sides with the new studio:
-Resize parts has a sizing grid: this is nice because what I used to do was count the amount of times it made the stretching sound if I didn't want to line up single blocks and then extend them to that size.
-Rotate, move, and tilt object keys: I enjoy these for when I use them, much slicker than the drag and pressing "r" or "t" which forces the objects position to adjust to your cursor.
-Automatically create joints between parts: Very nice for the click and drag, shows what surfaces it's hitting and if it's snug up to the other object or just seems that way, prevents extra steps of the move object key.
