No. Roblox is not officially supported on Windows 8.

You can run Roblox, but it's not officially supported, nor is Studio. Prettysure one of the latest blog posts explains how it's intended for use on Vista and 7.

@88toxm88, ROBLOX is 100% supported, Windows8 runs the same dll's and scripts and such as Win7, but has other stuff added on, and @ThreadCreator, Don't upgrade. It is same as Win7 but has more **USELESS** crap on it. ~~Join Caelestics Empires and The Sparrow Imperium today!~~

Also, you cannot fully enlarge the game page, you either have to go with a mini-box in the middle or full screen.

@mrbossy, then how come I can on my Win8? I just click the square button and it fully enlarges. No crashing or anything, it is rare when it crashes because of that. ~~Join Caelestics Empires and The Sparrow Imperium today!~~

I still have not seen anything that states that Roblox can offically run on Windows 8. Everything I've seen so far tells us that the only machines that Roblox is MADE for are Vista and 7. (Formerly XP). Yes, you can RUN it on 8, but I'm quite sure that it is not 100% intended for use on 8.

As I said, Windows 8 has same stuff and Windows 7 but with the new start menu and such. So it runs as if it was on windows 7. It is fully optimized for Windows 7. Look at ANY system requirement for almost ANYTHING, almost NOTHING will have windows 8, simply because it is run in Windows 7 pretty much. Also, even if ROBLOX wasn't able to be run on Windows 8, you can still run it in compatibility mode. ~~Join Caelestics Empires and The Sparrow Imperium today!~~

You are completely wrong. Yes, you can use compatability mode, but they don't list windows 8 because it's not supported yet.

Windows 8 may LOOK like 7, but it is entirely different. I could argue that Windows 98 and Windows 7 are essentially the same because of just a fancy graphics lift, but they are quite different. The same thing applies to many Windows 8 PCs and Tablets today.

ROBLOX will probably officially announce themselves 100% usable on Win8 when they've got support for every kind of Windows 8 system. Not only are there desktops and laptops, but also tablets running 8. They are comprised of entirely different data structures and hardware builds.

I am not basing this off of looks, Win8 looks almost nothing like Win7, I know it is about 85% the same as Win7 but as I said earlier, extra crap on it. They used Win7 as the format for Win8 but added crap to it simply. ~~Join Caelestics Empires and The Sparrow Imperium today!~~

As I just said, just because it LOOKS the same, doesn't mean internally it is as well. (It's not.) Refer to my Win98-Win7 example. They look fairly similar yet are COMPLETELY different. Quite the same thing if you compare Vista to 7. Looks virtually the same, yet very different (Which is why many games are phasing out vista support at this time.)

As I just said, I am not basing it off of looks, look on Microsoft, I asked a question in forums on how similar they are, and a mod replied with 'Very similar, we actually use every bit of Windows 7, changed a couple of things such as looks and performance. They are almost exactly alike script wise' -- Quote from a Microsoft admin. So don't say stuff you don't have proof of. ~~Join Caelestics Empires and The Sparrow Imperium today!~~

Considering Windows is not really comprised of scripts, I don't know if you actually were on a legitimate Microsoft site. I know stuff about computers, and I can assure you that 7 and 8 are vastly different. Tell me how to get to this site, if you can. I'd like to look into this. Because I know for a fact that Win 7 and 8 are not "almost exactly alike scriptwise."

By the way, how did you expect me to have proof in a forum post? It's not like you proved anything either, you just stated that you got a response from what could be any Microsoft site.

Erm, when did I say you needed proof? Also, dll's are script files, but in a format that computers understand(Bytecode and such) which is considered scripts, and I too know much about computers such as the crystals in hardware, how to build a computer that is a very-high end gaming system for under $300(I took to an appraiser and they said it is easily worth over $4000), so don't think I don't know anything about computers either :P ~~Join Caelestics Empires and The Sparrow Imperium today!~~

"don't say stuff you don't have proof of." Where did I say that you didn't know anything about computers? All I did say is that Windows 8 is nothing like Windows 7. Before Roblox can deem it's game Windows 8 worthy, it's got to be able to run on Windows 8 tablets efficiently, which I do not think it can.

I have windows 8 64bit and the website Roblox works fantastic for me. Roblox Studio 2013 works great for me to but some times I have a few problems but I think it has something to do with my bad internet and that lol But other than my internet problem Everything works great on my Windows 8

Anything that worked on windows 7 works on windows 8. I have windows 8 and have downloaded a windows 7 version of many programs/games, like FL studio, Blender, A bunch of steam games, and ROBLOX. They all run just as well as they did on Windows 7.

Never said it wouldn't work on 8. I'm only saying that Roblox won't make it officially supported until it's got universal access on all Windows 8 devices.

ROBLOX runs in the same environmental state on Windows 8 in comparison to Windows 7. The video card will need to be updated after the PC is installed, however any Windows 7 application will work on a Windows 8 computer without compatibility mode, with only a few exceptions, not including ROBLOX.
