I've been making schematics of things to build... And I've ran into a problem. I can't build anything that NEEDS a cylinder and can't be substituted with a sphere. I can't demonstrate how a square wheel can travel smoothly over inverted catenaries... Can't make a roller, Can't make a real wheel... It's a hindrance to my engineering and geometric planning! |

Accepted.

I can only use a cylnder-meshed ball as a hinge in tight spaces. I couldn't use a regular brick because it would make the clearance. And therefore I have a wobbly hinge. That was a problem with my centrifugal governor: roblox.com/Physicorum-Lab-place?id=57048088 |

Would make wheels better, and not make them spheres ._.

That is, if people use them correctly. |

It would make my rover much more dynamic. |

Use basic objects, cylinder is one of them. |

I've done tests. They are JUST meshes. Anything round is going to be a sphere on Roblox. I seriously did a whole experiment on it. |

ZOMG BUMP! I need to make a real-working gyroscope! |

Correction to my 3rd post: It WOULDN'T make the clearance. |

Yes. We need a real cylinder.
Even the 20-sided shapes they once had on sitetest (but never implemented dispite working fine) could pass of as a better wheel than a sphere... |

Bump. That would be gametest. |

...Yes, it would, wouldn't it?
...Fail.. |

Title fix.
And no support.

@pokemonJ7:
Why would you possibly not support the addition of cylinders to Roblox? |
|
SigmaTechJoin Date: 2010-01-28 Post Count: 643 |
Saying no support without a reason is rudeness. (Not according to me) |

Saying nos support, means that they don't like the idea, they may have reasons, just don't want to share them.
Support, although I hadn't noticed that they weren't really cylinders, don't build with meshes often, or need them on most of my games. |

I first discovered that they weren't real cylinders when I saw the wheels of a car fall off and wobble across the floor. |

Essentially, all bricks are meshes.
