A major part of most games is the audio.
Let's look at an example.
SFOTHIV is much better with music playing in the background, is it not?
Look at some shooting games. Would they be as good if you took away the sound of the guns, or the music?
I see 'Audio' in the Catalog andsee some of the sounds there, so this may have once been possible. I'm not sure why users can no longer upload sounds.
If it is because they are hard to moderate, there are ways to make it easier.
It could be a BC only feature, or you could only upload one sound file every hour or twenty four hours.

It's nearly impossible to upload.
Let's say we have 5000 users uploading sounds (there would, in reality be many more)
Even if they can only upload one audio file a day, that's still alot of stuff to moderate.
But lets say there's a 30 second limit on the sound?
30x5000/60=75,000
That around 3,125 days of audio. With a 30 second limit.
And these numbers are on an extremely small scale.
So... No! :D |

I think 5000 users uploading sounds a day is a slight exageration.
The 30 seconds idea isn't bad, but I have sounds that are a few minutes long... |

1. This was allowable MANY years ago. However, the amount of server space that would have to be rationed is massive and the moderation of it would be a long and painful. Plus, the processing of the sounds would also be an issue, whatnot.

Roblox made it so you can't upload sounds anymore because people were making inappropriate sounds I think. Also, I recommend the MIDI Player. |

I agree users should be allowed to upload audio but like decals, some users might add some songs that involve:
-cussing
-sexual lyrics or music
-bad music
-drug reference
-and anything else that is inappropriate
So yeah it would be nice yet it could be bad plus it would be hard to moderate because a machine moderates everything. They add images that are not allowed so when the machine spots something similar it erases it Ex:[Content Deleted]
so I'm not surprised that they didn't allow audio. |

Here is an example for a song that would, should, and could be moderated
YEAH IM RUNNING FROM THE COPS pew pew pew (gun fire) AND IM IN A VAN WITH A SHOTGUN IN MUH HAND SAYING "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND"
WITH ME KILLING IN THE END YEAH CRASH INTO A HOUSE AND KEEP ON SPLATTERING COWS YEAH EATING A CAKE AND ITS NOT A FAKE. FRIGGIN PORTAL REFERENCE B****!! |

- I also think it *should* be WNTS because it has been asked for years now, and at one point was in place, but was removed for numerous reasons.

This has been done before and didn't entirely end well, and the moderation and space it required was not available. Perhaps things have changed since then, I suppose- but the community is far more childish and immature than they were back then, and far more hyperactive.
