This guide is a complete directory towards all important aspects of The Octavian Gladium.
What is The Octavian Gladium?
The Octavian Gladium is a battalion composed of the elite fighters of ROBLOX. The Octavian Gladium serves primarily as the skilled counterpart of the ROBLOX clans. These soldiers dedicate their lives to the way of the blade in order to serve, protect, and fight for the freedom and posterity of our home planet, Octavia.

The Octavian Gladium was re-established for a series of causes:
-To create an equilibrium between the usage of swords and guns.
-To become a second set of highly respected individuals and role models.
-To serve for the glory of Octavia with each member's unrivaled experience with their humble sword and gun fighting skills.
-To create a difference in the ROBLOX clans.
-To train every each and one of their members to the greatest ability.

As a free compatriot of Octavia, I hereby dedicate my ROBLOX career to the utmost servitude and loyalty to the grand Octavian Gladium. To serve and to respect; to fight and to defend; and to uphold the liberties that Octavia stands for. With this oath, I acknowledge my cause and my duties and promise to take up my responsibilities as a soldier of Octavia.

Just to clarify, this section is only the basic requirements that are sought out in individuals that may be chosen as candidates to join OCT. Meeting these requirements do not entitle you to an immediate position in the Octavian Gladium. Though these requirements have been laid out, The Octavian Gladium is still an invitation-only/elite clan.
✦ Un-questionable Loyalty to the Octavian Gladium and Octavia.
➣ You may not be heavily associated with any other group than The Octavian Gladium. [Typically, placing The Octavian Gladium as your primary accounts for this.]
➣ * You must be highly skilled/mature.
➣ You must have a clean slate. Any blemishes on career record shall be noted and will lower your chances in becoming a high rank.
➣ You are an avid participant in all combat related OCT events; raids, trainings, and defends are all included in this category.
✦ Exceptional Skills
➣ ** 1,000 KOs+Warrior Badge is the bare minimum.
➣ Skills that are noted by the grand high council of the Octavian Gladium.
✦ Exemplary Display of Leadership
➣ You must be well-respected and well-liked by the members of the council. You are a role model soldier of the Octavian community.
➣ Your strategic abilities are above the average and your skills are acknowledged by our comrades.
➣ You have the ability to work and lead a team in combat situations. Your insight and intuition in battle are evident.

* - There are exceptions to this rule. If your acts of leadership and swordsmanship are highly notable, your rank is overruled. Ability is not always shown through rank and this is kept in consideration.
** - There are also exceptions to this rule. Such exceptions may involve: transfer of accounts or remarkable skills that are not fully regarded in kill count.

All Octavians are expected to uphold a strict set of rules and regulations. Disobedience of such rules shall result in severe consequences and loss of privileges.
▬▬▬▬▬[[The Rules]]
The Standard: Be the Better Man/Woman.
✦ Act as a role model. Holding the title of an Octavian is a high honor that recognizes your various skills. However, receiving the name of an Octavian does not allow you to slack off from your duties, in fact, your duties are doubled and you must strive to be the very best. Show your comrades of The Octavian Gladium how a good soldier must act. Your actions reflect the countenance of the high ranks and therefore you act as such.
✦ Do not be arrogant. Arrogance may become one of your worst enemies as a soldier of Octavia. The title of an Octavian should give you pride, however going beyond the limitations of pride into the realm of arrogance shall hinder your performance as an Octavian. Excessive snobbery or abuse of power will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
✦ You must wear your uniforms at all times. Your Octavian uniform is one of the many physical differences that set you apart from the average soldier. It should be the pride of your fighting career. Wear it proudly and boldly, however do not exceed the boundaries of pride into arrogance.**
✦ All Octavians are forever bound to never disclose information that is discussed within the division. All information besides what is explained in this guide is to remain confidential. Any Octavian who is known to break this rule shall be severely punished.

** - Only legitimate and reasonable explanations may be used to excuse yourself of this rule. Unless you are of the General rank or higher, you are to wear your uniform at all times.

With great power comes great responsibility. All members of Octavia are to and should abide by all of the rules listed in the above section. However, if there is a time in which an individual or a group of individuals decide to violate any of the listed regulations, then the proper protocol will be followed to subdue the violators.
✦ Acts of disrespect and misconduct to any member of The Octavian Gladium, Octavian, shall be dealt with an immediate suspension from Octavia. This involves immediate exile and perhaps rejection upon request for re-entry. Octavians are expected to be respectful and curt towards their peers. Any signs of disrespect shall not be tolerated.
✦ Inability or refusal to wear the uniform will result in a range of consequences: Loss of privileges, demotion, or at worst, dismissal from the division.
✦ Disclosure of any information that was discussed within The Octavian Gladium shall be dealt with zero tolerance.
Note: Exile, suspension, or dismissal from Octavia is permanent and cannot be reversed. You are forever to be rejected upon request for re-entry and are barred from all Octavian privileges. Your actions cause your own undoing and you should think upon it as such. The only event in which an exile, suspension, or a dismissal may reversed is upon very rare occasions in which upon deeper inspection of the case, it is found that the evicted is in fact innocent.

1. Be active in the group. Attend trainings, meetings, raids, etc.
2. Be active on the wall or on the Clans & Guilds Forum (C&G).
3. Use good grammar! At bases, on the wall, everywhere!
4. Building or scripting for the group. PM me, if you would like to earn a promotion this way.
5. Show good leadership at bases, raids, etc.
6. Be a highly skilled soldier (marksmen and swordsmen).
7. Recruiting people! Tell the people you recruit to PM a high rank, so that we can promote you!
8. You can complete missions given to you by all of the high ranks.
9. Anything not listed in this promotion guide is not a way you can earn a promotion! PM me if you have any questions about the guide!

As any other division, The Octavian Gladium is divided up into various ranks in a simple ranking system. With each rank comes a certain level of prestige and respect. The higher your rank in Octavia, the more your skill is acknowledged. Your invitation to Octavia is already a display of your remarkable talents in leadership and swordsmanship. However, improvement from this point comes with greater benefits, respect, and responsibility.
