If a post turns into that from moderation,
WHY NOT JUST LOLING DELETE IT!?

I mean, seriously:
It saves money, as there's less data,
It saves time, because it just does,
It saves patience,
It saves space,
It saves me from having to post this idea AGAIN,
It saves the abillity to save things,
It saves my capabillity to say that "If you don't support and omitt a reason, I'll just count it as a support."
It saves my desire to end this OP. |

Incredy, they already delete some posts, so that is already worked out.
A majority of them are just locked, and sometimes have their title and body erased.
Actually deleting all posts against the rules would be best, as it removes the load on the forums as well.

It's complicated to explain, but it basically boils down to how our backend is set up to deal with asset moderation.
in essence, if a moderator is working from their typical administration workflow, it is much easier to scrub the asset (in this case, the head of a forum post) than to delete the thread entire. We CAN go in and delete the thread directly from the forum, but that involves an extra step, and when we have 75,000 users on and we're dealing with thousands of reports per minute... well, stuff gets lost in the shuffle.
Trust me, the overall number of [ Content Deleted ] threads is WAY lower than it ever has been in the past. That's due to a lot of diligent work by both mods and the community team (who are stationed primarily on the forums, like me) to see that posts get properly deleted. Yes, there are outliers, and we do appreciate if these get reported, because we want CD'd threads hanging around about as much as you do. But for the most part the teams keep a pretty good job of fully removing bad threads, not just scrubbing the top post. |

Perhaps you could have to devs reprogram the moderation system to give you more abilities from one screen? That way you can still accomplish the some goal, without taking any extra steps. That's just my two cents. |
