It's relatively impossible to put millions of bricks in cold storage where they stand un-rendered.

Tell that to all of the existing, yet mostly-unrendered polygons/voxels in Guild Wars when you're looking outside the gates of a town. ~>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5y9GOZE1rE<~

Alright then; The Survival #0# series; they have quite a few models stuck up inside of lighting until they are in use. Millions? No, but it could be used to hold millions. And guess what? They exist. Those models exist in lighting, but are uninteractable unless otherwise forced to be interacted with. It's perfectly possible to reverse the way of interaction to cause a player to enter a separate workspace, and proof of that is seen with the old bricks I heard someone say they removed; bricks that could be seen and interacted with by one player, but not another. There's a game I saw with them at one point in time a few months ago, it involved mining on planets... "Planet creator" or something like that. That serves as proof that it can be made, we simply have to cause the player to be able to act as a "local brick" to a specific workspace. ~>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5y9GOZE1rE<~

Really? So when you go to a new Workspace, then only your computer will render the bricks plus the people that are also in that Workspace?

Wouldn't this be cheating the amount of active places a user can hold? It's not too different from using a game teleporter to go into another "dimension" or Workspace. A while ago, I think ROBLOX was mentioning a possible feature, Universes, where you could link amounts of active places together.

ermaghersh scratch what I said. I have a slow mind process when it comes to these sorts of topics. Yes, this WOULD be nice, because in actuality, you're not really cheating your amount of active places, you're just separating a game into sections for convenience.

Your idea sounds like this: http://blog.roblox.com/2012/01/the-big-bang-at-roblox-universe-creation/ I did note that you said Bob only has 1 place. The solution to that if the above linked idea was finished would be to buy BC, haha.

I've read your idea. I understand that it's "in the same game", except it's not really. There is a fuzzy line between "same game" and "different game" in your idea because of multiple workspaces.

No, it would be very much the same game, same lighting, same players, same teams, same starter pack, same startergui, all those, only there could be multiple workspaces.

This would be very hard to do for the Roblox team. If they can't even get the Roblox Universe update done within a year of mentioning it (idk if they have worked on it at all). With the universe update, you could keep the same stats if the creator made the same stats in each game. Same with teams, starter pack, start gui, and lighting. However, players obviously would change, which would be the only difference in your idea and the Roblox Universe update.
