A game I recently started on, it's 2D if you didn't already know that. c: I guess it's a mixture of an Obby and an RPG put together into one 2D game. Anyway here's what I've done so far: You spawn in a small village next to a guy sitting on some boxes, he asks if you want to go to the tutorial, you have a choice. I have made the tutorial a lab with some different items/obstacles in some large test tubes with information about them, but I've decided to make the Tutorial a level of it'self. The storyline: It's pretty basic, but it will have twists on the way, basically a dark lord called 'Varunox' (made that name myself! :D) yeah he sends an army down to attack the village BUT they haven't got to the village yet, they are on their way, and you must stop them before they do. As you progress, the levels get more dark and denomic until you reach the portal to Varunox's fortress. You will get minibosses and puzzles on the way too. There will be shops to upgrade your weapon, jump height and walkspeed, but I don't know where to have the shop, should I have it as a Gui? A shop in the village? Or some shops in each level? The reason I can't decide is, it will be annoying to have to go back to the village to buy stuff if you're far in the game, and if it's a Gui, it just doesn't look as good in my opinion, so I'm thinking about having some shops along the way. Unless any of you got some better ideas, I'd be happy to hear them! (That's right, I can hear your ideas through text.) :D You will also meet new enemies, NPCs, obstacles, puzzles along the way. I haven't thought about an ending just yet. Anyway if you have ideas about ANYTHING, I mean anything, it can be anything small like the enemies, or something big like the storyline, ending, some leveles etc. I'm happy with ALL ideas so please share your ideas, I'd be very greatful, thanks! :D

A large shop at the starting village, maybe a second one later in the game. Smaller shops in every other level or so. Emergency GUI shops (tiny) brought up by pressing a button, but won't show up on screen during normal gameplay. (Would have, say, +25% health, walkspeed, etc, for 5 or so seconds).

And Btw I know I changed what you said around a bit, but here are some ideas: For the ending, I think you should be able to choose from these: You defeat the bad guy, you have killed him. Then you see his vast army, you can either choose to fight them with catapults and stuff, or, you can become there leader and raid the village and rule the world.

for aerial combat allow dragons( y to ride, mouse to control, f to breathe fire.) & griffins(y to ride, mouse to control, a 1 to pick up stones and a 2 to throw stones.) for faster terrestrial transport allow: llamas, donkeys, mules, horses, elephants and wargs.

@Mybobo, thanks. I love how you get a choice! I'll keep that in mind @Vader, thanks also. I don't really like adding pets/animals to my games as making pets using bricks look horrible, and I do not like to use file meshes. But you gave me the idea of having some special levels where you get to ride something, and it could have some different controls, thanks! :D

:D. for morphs (either vip/game pass or unlockable): greek: fauns, satyr, centaur, minotaur norse: goblins, orcs, ogres, trolls, elves or dwarves. maybe make the castle damagable( make the bricks feather weight for this to work without lag) meaning upon impact by a catapult or a griffin throwing a stone- the rocks making up the castle will break.

If I read it wrong, please say. c:" Exactly, but I'll still clarify with an example. You're at the final boss thing, and you're low on health. You press a button, let's use 'e', and a small window appears on the screen. The window contains a few shop buttons (+25% health, %25% movement speed, etc). You buy the 25% movement speed, and for a few seconds, you go 25% faster. I hope that helps.

there should be five catagories for weapons: whacking(axes, maces, mace&chain, clubs, and war-hammers.), thrusting( swords, spears, pikes and halbards.), specials( amazonian poison-darts(slowly kills a player), whips( takes other peoples weapons), arquebus( a primitive gun-anti armor), greek-fire( a primitive explosive anti-unit basically), the maori wahaika( disarms and catches an enemies weapons), boomerangs( sole reusable long range weapon), medium range weapons( javelins, throwing axes, throwing knives, ninja stars and slings.) and long-range weapons( bow&arrow and spear&atlal.) you start with bronze weapons then you upgrade to iron then steel. at any one time each player can only have one whacking weapon. one thrusing weapon, one special, one medium-range weapon and one long range weapon. long range weapons should do small damage, medium range weapons should do medium damage, thrusting weapons should do high damage, whacking weapons are anti-armor, while specials are well...special.

I like that idea! I should mention it's more obby and puzzle than RPG, but I'll include more different types of weapons. Thanks! :D I'm working on the tutorial level, any ideas? I'm just making it a level where it includes most stuff in the game like springs, coins, weapons, enemy, etc. And they come with messages telling you about them.

do you know how to make guis? perhaps, like in hathelper's 'the conquers' the tutorial can be a gui instead of a seperate level. however if you really want it to be a level in itself perhaps you can make a gallery showing you all the npc enemies, bosses, obbies and how to get around all of them. btw for weapons please go easy on the thrusting weapons( spears and swords) although they're vital to a medieval game they are a little over used, use the little used whacking weapons that i mentioned above. and btw i tried playing ur game, how do you get past the tutorial?, some more work is required... most obbies are a killing bar that you have to press the space bar to jump over it. please go easy on these kind of obbies. make your obbies unique and interesting perhaps trapezes, ropeswings, ziplines, roaring fires, moving glaciers, etc.

" I haven't started the tutorial yet. xD Also, I LOVE that last idea with ropeswings and stuff! :D I didn't plan on doing lava bricks that you jump over, it's not gonna be one of those obbies don't worry, I got some decency. :D I don't know how I'll make rope swings though...

do you know how to do the guardian script? i know very little about scripting and the things i do know about scripting i have not yet implimented nor tried. nonetheless once you have seen hathelper's " the conquers"- you know that anything movable can be done on roblox. what i would suggest is to have the rope swing being activated by pressing y, then like a plane you'll sit on it and you can there guide it's direction using the mouse control. in effect the same scripts you use with vehicles can be used with the rope-swing does that help you out a little?

Can you make it be Pix-elated? Cause it would get that good ol' arcade feel to it and that would be awesome! And, also, can there be a part where you have to run from something through a level? Like a miniboss is chasing you and you have to do that level by jumping over things and you have to make him crash and die. I would also love that when someone talks to you it just shows there face next to some text, like Fire emblem and other things.

I know what you mean! I'm defiantly not making it pixelated, but I can see why you want it to. But what I will do is, with each miniboss, there is a different way of killing them! Thanks :D Idk about the 3rd idea of yours though, seems like a good idea, but I'm not that professional when it comes to scripting, building is my skill. c:

Also, could you make minigames? Like, you don't have to do them, but you get more money from them. Ex: You are walking and a GUI pops up saying: "Press Click this to enter race track" And you would race NPC's on a horse, that kind of thing.

Haha thats cool! I won't do it as a Gui thing, I'll just do a winner's area like a mountain, with some random games like races or whatever. One problem though. It's 2D... But I know a way to put yourself into 3D mode from 2D. So I could do a winners area with a race track that you could ride on in 3D! I might have the race track in a mine or something... c:

once a player dies all his weapons should lie on the ground so if you kill a player you can get his weapons and ammo.

It's not PvP if I read that correctly, but I could do something like that with the AI's. Once you kill them, instead of getting their equipment, maybe get a random amount of coins (1-3). Maybe some equipment drops from bosses. Or just something a bit better than a few coins! :D
