No, it's not another CoD rip-off. Intense Paintball is all about bringing a high-end first person shooter to ROBLOX that keeps a creative and fun feel to it. How? Intense Paintball features things like air support, tactical domination, vehicles yet while maintaining a "paintball" theme. Not only do I hope to help people feel like they're really in a warzone, I want them to have fun. Before I start explaining, I'd like the thank the people that have already started to help. They include: - GuestCapone - Prehistoricman - bigdaddy92 - Revan59 - flappydavid - masterCameron101 - Omaraa - RyanDolan123 (yes you :3) Modes: - Free for All In this game, there are no colors or teams. Your paint is white and you must get the most kills out of everyone to get first place. - Domination In this game, one team must defend their 3 flags and the other must try and capture them. The game ends after 5 minutes. Then, sides switch. Whoever had the most flags captured wins. If there is a tie, whoever held the flags longer for one game wins. - Air War In this exciting new game mode, your team must battle against the enemy in the skies over a possibility of 5 huge game maps including Ocean, Fields and more. Team with more kills wins. - Team Deathmatch The classic that everyone loves. You and your team must get the most kills to win. - Capture the Flag Similar to Domination, your team must steal flags from the other side and vice versa. The team with the most flags captured after 5 minutes wins. So, please give me feedback/ideas. The ideas are still rough. Plus, I left out a lot of modes + maps + ideas because they were somehow breaking ROBLOX rules. And as always, help is always welcome, considering right now I have 0 people helping me. -GD987: LuaLearners Writer, Teacher, Scripter, Forumer, Game Developer, Troll-

What I like about this idea is that the paintball setting makes up for the extreme lack of realism most war-based first-person shooters.

I'm hoping it will. It'll be hard to make amazing graphics as a plane flies over you and drops some bombs, but dropping paintballs removes the realism but still keeps it fun. -GD987: LuaLearners Writer, Teacher, Scripter, Forumer, Game Developer, Troll-

This is one of the greatest paintball games I've heard of, maybe rivalling daxter33's. Also one of the cleanest ideas in GD, but that's besides the point.

Thanks. By the way, I have an idea that once this game is finished, make a spin-off of it but it's with real guns instead of paintballs. Disregard females, acquire currency.

Sounds pretty cool. If done right, this should be way better than daxter33's Paintball. I have a couple (ok, maybe a little more than a couple) of questions (not necessarily suggestions; just questions): - How many players per server? - In the air assault, will the sides switch after each round? - How will infantry down the planes? - Is there a health / damage system, or is it instakill? - Will this be first person, or (legit) third person? - Will there be a cover system? - Will teamwork be required to win? - Will there be limited ammo? (if so, how much do you start with, and how will you get more ammo?) - Will there be leveling / upgrading / customizing? - Will there be perks? - Will there be planes for both sides in some game modes? - What game modes are not allowed? ...sorry, there were more than I thought

Oh wait, I think I misunderstood the Air War mode. Just to get this straight: Both teams are in the jets, and have a good ol' dogfight NOT One team in the jets strafes the little pests on the ground

Actually, I remember I was foruming on some thread once, and the conversation took a turn in to cover system. I remember hearing someone say they might try it, and I think it might have been greenday.

So where does the tactical warfare come in? "Go back to the abyss! Fall into the nothingness that awaits you and your master!"

@Jack I'm hoping to make it friendly for kids yet allowing older ones to have more control over the battle. @Foodmaniac - How many players per server? Most likely 20. Maybe a mega server, but I'm not sure because it would call for larger maps. - In the air assault, will the sides switch after each round? Yeah. - How will infantry down the planes? RPG-7, SMAW, etc. - Is there a health / damage system, or is it instakill? Health/damage similar to BF3. - Will this be first person, or (legit) third person? There will be options to choose. - Will there be a cover system? Yep. - Will teamwork be required to win? I'm adding "Rush" from BF3, so yes, you'll need teamwork to win. Also, in some modes that I had to leave out (for the reasons I stated in the thread) there is a LOT of teamwork - Will there be limited ammo? (if so, how much do you start with, and how will you get more ammo?) There's limited, and it depends on your gun. Assault rifles usually have more ammo, and secondaries have very little. However, you can scavenge other people's guns. - Will there be leveling / upgrading / customizing? There are 100 prestiges, and 80 levels per prestige. There is also customization for kits, your soldier, dogtags, etc. - Will there be perks? Yes, and specialization. Specialization is something you master in, like using Sniper Rifles, driving tanks, etc. - Will there be planes for both sides in some game modes? Both sides have the option of 1 jet, 1 tank, and 2 humvees. - What game modes are not allowed? I'm not sure I understand the question.... :P And yes. Air Fight - two sides with jets. However, in some game modes you'll have 1 jet per team, and they can do as they please. @Jack I thought I remembered you from somewhere! :P Yes, I was experimenting with cover systems in 3rd person. Trying to figure out how to do it in 1st. @mikey This part is my favorite. In some modes, you need to hold areas of the map. Not only are they for scenery, they hold ammo/vehicles/income (for guns) or a number of other things. Some are also tactical, like holding a huge warehouse opposed to holding a hill. Any other questions? I know I left out A LOT, but blame ROBLOX for censoring it. Disregard females, acquire currency.

Decided to post my favorite modes as of right now. - Single War (Three sub-modes: Real Cities, Game Maps and Real Countries) Captains are randomly chosen and must place their troops in different maps simultaneously and choose whether their goal is air or ground dominance over that area. Captains can change the map a troop is in or themselves if they currently have dominance. The area the captain is in becomes the “main battle”. The war ends when all maps have dominance by one team for more than 1 min 30 seconds. If one map isn’t being dominated by the captain’s team, he can transport some of his men, call for reinforcements to that area (at the cost of “war points”) or go himself. It is the captain’s choice to put specialists in certain positions. He can put a sniper in an area that needs air dominance. - Massive War (Five sub-modes: Real Cities, Game Maps, Real Countries, Global War and Chain) The idea is the same as Single War except the power of retreating. When a team has dominance of an area for more than 5 minutes, the opposing team is automatically retreated and they win the area. That ends the war in that area. A captain can call his troops to retreat from any of the areas. Those troops can be used in another area, and can go back to the other area, but only if 5 minutes didn’t pass, even if they were gone. A lot of maps are available but it is impossible to put troops in all of them at once. Once troops retreat, the captain can choose to put them in another area. The more areas dominated, the more “total war points” the team has. Once an area has dominance from one specific team, those troops are taken out but the area is permanently dominated. They can then be moved to a new area to start dominating. The goal is to dominate all of the areas, which is a win or once every area has a permanent domination, which team has more “total war points.” - Some areas hold tactical things, like crates with guns, ammo, vehicles, bombs or a number of other useful things. Some areas are also better for war, with cover everywhere or some are deserted and hard to win, yet a good place to have tactically. Real Cities: The game uses maps of real cities, like New York instead of game maps. Game Maps: The game uses its own maps. Real Countries: You conquer certain cities in a real country, like USA. Global War: When one country has complete domination, you move to a new country until every continent is dominated by one team. Then, points are tallied. - Chain War Everybody keeps their team for 50 games of Massive War. However, captains do not distribute troops into separate maps, they are all in one map and he separates them to either fight in the air or on the ground. They must become dominant both on the air and on the ground in order to win. When they win, War Points are distributed to the captain and the troops and he can start using “defaults”. Not all games are just a deathmatch. Some are destroying an opposing team’s bomb, detonating a middle bomb before the other team, capturing flags, etc. Captains are kept for all rounds. The last game is called the “Final Showdown.” If you die, you are out. Cameo appearances of nations like the U.S.A. and Russian soldiers and airforces appear and try to take both teams out. http://www.roblox.com/Intense-Paintball-Beta-Build-v0-9-place?id=52236974 Open for testing, although you can't do much. There's a nasty glitch where you don't spawn in the map, fixed it by adding a baseplate under the map so you don't fall. Pretty much you can fool around with the GUIs. I'm exceptionally proud of them. Disregard females, acquire currency.
