Demonica smiled as she walked down the sidewalk, with her older brother Warson, her mother, and father. She stumbled little, for she was about the age of five. Warson her ten year-old brother smiled at her and said "First day new feet eh, Dee?" as he picked her up and gave her a piggy-back ride. "I told you not to call me Dee anymore! I'm not a baby Warson." She retorted not protesting to the free ride she was being given.
She turned her head toward her mother and asked "What are you going to name him?" They had recently came back from the hospital to find the gender of the child. "Your father and I decided to name him Korzorkian" Her mother replied happily. By that time, because mostly everything doesn't interest Warson, he was still carrying Demonica, daydreaming about something. Demonica smiled and jumped headfirst off of her brothers back. Demonica was the carefree Dare-Devil of the family, while Warson was off daydreaming or doing something to do with physical labor. Warson stumbled as Demonica did that and she mockingly retorted "First day new feet eh, War?" just as she said that Warson smiled as he was planning something, just as he looked up, he started chasing Demonica all over the sidewalk, their parents watching nearby hoping nothing could ruin that moment.
About three years later, Demonica had become quiet, shutting herself out mainly, her little brother Korzorkian was born. Her parents had payed attention to him or Warson lately, Warson was an apprentice in weaponry, getting to test out every new shipment his mentor had received. Demonica spent her time climbing, training herself in defense, weapons, and close combat. Her parents had recently enrolled her into a school of the gifted fighters, Demonica loved her parent for that, because she was at the top of her class, in advanced classes of close combat and weapons, fighting higher grades, older people and skilled fighters.
All of that changed when the airships appeared. Her mother and father somehow knew what to do. They covered Korzorkian's face with a small mask and hid him. Demonica had already ran ahead, ready to defend her family with a pistol in her hand and her knife in its holster at her side, Warson was just ahead of her about to fight off a trooper when the trooper grabbed Warson's arm, Demonica stared in horror as another trooper got her from behind, she had not been ready for that. She twisted and turned as she was taught, it beat the people she had been training against but not this trooper, it held her arms tight and pushed her forward into an airship with her brother. She panicked, not seeing her mother or father.
She lied her head on Warson's lap, tears slowly running down her face. She never knew what had lied in her future from then on. |
