Ok this is an idea I have for helping people script things. What it is is they open a trigger (has a different name other than script so people can choose to either normaly script or use triggers) then inside that they will have an events section, a conditions section, and an actions section. Inside the events section, it can have game, dialog, player, time, and whatever else you can think of then it will give you part of a script that does that and a selection of things you can change (for instance, inside time you can select an elapsed game time, a periodic event, or a timer for something. then say you select a periodic event, it will say every ___ seconds of gametime. and you fill in the blank with a certain amount of time) It will work like puzzle peices and allow you to put in certain things you want it to do and suddenly you've made a script! Then it can show you what the script looks like. I know one downside to this is some famous scripters will lose some fame, but it will do a lot more good than bad. |
