This suggestion is fairly simple-- ROBLOX should enable user-created Audio files, by allowing us to upload .mid files. Before you say anything, read some of the ideas I have behind this:
Q. Why MIDI files? Why not MP3s?
A. Roblox has a pretty good no-copyright-infringement thing going on amongst the userbase, and although we can upload decals of whatever we want, uploading copywritten songs can be much more serious than just some pictures. MIDIs are copyright-restriction-free (unless the specific MIDI has been copywritten which I've never seen before ever), which would allow safe uploading. On top of that, MP3s can contain harmful language or audio. MIDIs are simply instrument-based songs.
Q. What are the advantages of MIDIs?
A. Like I mentioned above, you can't infringe copyrights or upload harmful content with them. On top of that, MIDIs are incredibly small. Most 2-minute songs are only 4 to 12kb! What a space saver! They're also multiplatform and supported by ROBLOX's sound engine already.
Q. But we have a MIDI Player someone scripted already. Why would we need this?
A. Music is the next big creative step ROBLOX needs to take. I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but the MIDI Player is incredibly expensive data-wise. It doesn't actually upload the song and play it normally- it plays the song using ROBLOX sounds in real-time. This causes severe lag on slower computers; AND the MIDI Player has a severe problem where if the Roblox sound engine plays too many sounds, it simply breaks the music after a while, sounding like a dying cat.
So basically, MIDI Player = tons of sounds playing at once to sound like a song (with limited instruments due to ROBLOX sound library), and MIDI uploading = one song file playing at once, working flawlessly. |

I thought that was fixed with the SoundGlitchStopper script that came with the Midi Model.

@gamehero whoopsie, guess I must've missed that. The other matters are still relevant, though. The MIDI player is nice to have but by no means is it the end-all solution to music in ROBLOX games. |

Even though the MIDI Player works now, and it's great, but it still lags quite a bit, and it would be best if ROBLOX added full support for MIDI files. |

The only problem with making audio files is that it may attract a lot of attention from really gross people if you know what I mean. HUURR, HAAA! MORE!!! That kind of stuff. |

Yeah, petorparrot, MIDI files prevent that kind of thing because they only use a specific set of instruments for every song. People can't make gross or inappropriate stuff like that with MIDIs. |

I consider this as a great idea.
It does have some flaws but , that doesn't matter.
