The particle is basically a sparkle, only with more customization. These options allow you to change the texture of the particle, how long the particle lasts, the way the particle moves, and things like that. The particle is to be placed inside of a brick and the particles are emitted from the center. *Particle Options* Custom Texture -- The texture of the particle if the below value is set to FileTexture. String value. Particle Texture -- What the particle looks like. Drop-down. -Flame -- Like the explosion texture, but lower resolution. -Smoke -- A blurry grey blob. -Droplet -- A small sphere -Sparkle -- Duh. -Snowflake -- A six-sided texture, similar to the sparkle. -FileTexture -- Allows custom textures. Particle Scale -- How big the particle is. Number value. Particle Color -- Tint the particle a color, like the sparkle. NumberThree Color value. Particle Transparency -- How opaque or transparent the particle is. Number value. *Radius -- Radio Button 1. -Particle Radius -- How far the particle will go in studs before dissapearing. Number Value. *Life -- Radio Button 2. -Particle Life -- How Long the particle lasts before dissapearing. (Only one of the 2 previous options can be selected at once.) *Emitter options* Direction -- The direction and speed at which the particle is emiited in relation to the brick emitting it, along X, Y, and Z axes. NumberThree value. Spread -- How much the particles spread after being emitted. Number value. Particle Movement -- How the particle moves when emitted. Drop-down. -Straight -- A straight line in the emitted direction. -Flutter -- Moves back and forth, like a leaf or piece of paper. -Swirl -- Spirals away from the emitter. -Fountain -- Moves away from the emitter, then slows and comes back towards it. Emission Speed -- How many times the particles are emitted per second. Number value. Particles Per Emission -- How many particles are emitted in each emission. Number value. Disabled -- whether or not the Particle Emitter is active. Bool value. Use ideas: Fountain -Texture: Droplet -Color: Medium Blue -Direction: 0, 5, 0 -- Up at a speed of five. -Spread: 5 -Movement: Fountain Tree with falling leaves -Texture: FileTexture, looks like a leaf. -Color: Green, Brown, Red, or Yellow. -Direction: 0, -1.5, 0 -- Down slowly. -Spread: 3 -Movement: Flutter LAZOR -Texture: Droplet or Fire -Color: Any will do, really. -Direction: 50, 0, 0 -- Forward at avery fast speed. -Spread: 0. -Movement: Straight -Emission speed and Particles Per Emission would both be very high, so as to achieve a seamless laser. I would appreceate feedback on this post, such as what you like or dislike about it and suggestions for other options. Zoshi

Very nice, very detailed report. I like the idea. @Sonic-Will you people stop saying "Script it"? It is flippin annoying, and the point of this forum is for features that could be implemented so people dont have to script, and have better customization. Plus, some younger members dont understand the scripting language.

@Eclipse They should learn how to script. If it is to hard, Thats to bad for them.

Scripting this would be foolish sonic. C++ is 100x faster than Lua, and possibly thousands or millions of times faster in this situation.

@Meelo I didn't know C++ worked on Roblox...

Sonic's right. Learn it. Don't want to? Too bad. Roblox Inc. ain't going to wait on younger kids hand and foot just to make it easier for them.

"I didn't know C++ worked on Roblox..." It doesn't. ROBLOX's Client is probably written in C++ (It's compiled into an exe anyways). The admins would use C++ here.

@Catmando- When you were 7 or 8, do you really think you could have learned to program in lua? This is the point in the suggestions, for people to suggest things so that it would be easier to use.

General, I disagree with that argument. Only 1 person has to be capable of making it. It will trickle down to Builders. The problem with this is, it's not practical to use Lua, unless you want to crash the server.

Why only one person? The way I read it, I thought he was suggesting that, if you want it, you script it yourself.

I find it funny, how every time someone says "script it", or "script it yourself", someone or the thread creator himself will say, "But what if the newbies don't know how to script" or "I don't know how to script", or "This is so they can implent it to all places"... My question is, why is ROBLOX wasting all their money on this site to teach people(normally little kids) how to script in the Lua language, when your suggesting stuff to kill scripters on Roblox. Although I agree on Meelo... It'd be to complicated, then no one would share(I mean would you?)...Now if it was C++ instead of Lua, I'd be on sonic's side...

Good to see this thread is getting some feedback. But could we stick to constructive criticism instead of hurling insults at each other?

EDIT: Emission Speed and particles Per Emission should be rolled into one. Particles Per Second.
