Don't use that shortcut, it's a hack for debugging. There are two modes for Studio, Build Mode and Edit Mode. That key combination toggles between the two. Build Mode does not have any toolbars or windows and the 3D view takes up the entire window. The character showing up is based on whether or not you clicked the "Build" button. To get to the mode I think you want, open Studio from the icon and using the web page that shows up (the "Start Page"), open your place and click the Build button. Don't use the Build button from your regular web browser. To get the windows and toolbars back, go to the View menu and start turning things on.
