Ok, most of you know this but anyways,
there's this conflict between the 2 highest posters, fastlane and ventus
Fastlane has 88k, got all of them legitimately, over 4/5 years of hard where
where as
Ventus has 86k, about 80k which are spamming forum games
And guess what?
Guess when ventus started spamming.
Late 2012.
About 6 months for 86k by spamming.
And ventus even admitted to doing it and he posted "I will be the king of the forums, and make quantity matter, not quality" or something like that here;

And earlier, ventus said he was getting #1 poster just to annoy fastlane.
So removing post count would be equivalent to banning ventus for spam. |

Also since ventus gets like 500 posts a day he'll probably just pass fastlane in a couple days.
Eh before the mods even take action in this ventus will pass fastlane.
What is even the point. |

I don't care about fastlane keeping #1 poster really, but ventus DOES NOT deserve it.
He just spams "69" around OT threads alot |

Instead of removing post count(I kinda like it), just add a number cap. You can still post, just the post count won't go up, and everyone except Ventus will be happy |

no, instead we should remove it because of the fact that it has become little more than a statistic which drives people like you to spam in an attempt to make themselves more noteworthy by becoming one of the site's top posters
instead we should remove it it's caused people with low post counts to often be vilified and ignored because they don't have as many posts as say, fuzzyperson. |

No point in removing post count because of people spamming. Simply ban them from posting in the forums. If ventus is literally spamming hundreds of posts a day, it could easily stop him by banning him from ALL forums... Why remove something that decent forumers actually enjoy, because of one person? |
