Nowadays, post count does not really mean much. People can create a lot of posts, but they may not be useful or helpful. Instead of the “number of posts” there should be “community ratings.” People can just spam post all day long without really saying much at all and easily get a high number of posts. With community ratings, however, people would be rated on their contributions to the Roblox forum or just the Roblox community in general. How it would work: This would be a point based system where you can receive or lose points depending on what you have done in the Roblox community. Some actions would add points while others would take them away. Here are a few examples: Things that would add points: 1. Reporting inappropriate games, threads, or comments 2. Reporting spam 3. Offering suggestions 4. Helping other users 5. Getting favorites on models and places Things that would subtract points: 1. Making inappropriate games, threads, or comments 2. Getting a ban warning 3. Getting a ban 4. Being mean to other users These points would appear under a user on each of their posts on the forum, and would appear on their profile like this: Profile views: 58902 Place visits: 384 Community points: 197 This system would encourage users to be better because they would want to receive points. It would improve the Roblox community as a whole, and make Roblox a much better place. Any comments or suggestions? Any pros or cons? Please post your ideas. Keep post count. There are some applications of it in groups, and I just like to look at my own sometimes. ~>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bWW3UFVpHY<~

keeping post count would make sense. People could lose all of their hard work and that would be bad. I will update this thread in 24 hours. Keep the comments coming.

Keeping both may also help cut back on spam. Mods can look at a page and see: Total posts: 1000 Community points: 0

This didn't answer the question, what do the points do? Are they just another number or not?

the points would be a number, but when people reach a certain number of points, they could receive a badge or hat. Also, players with high pointage would be respected by most people and those with low/negative pointage might be avoided

No Support, as said before. Con's: 1. Mini Modding will increase 2. Useless in all forms 3. I like my post count, thank you very much 4. "Helping Other Users" - How? 5. Self faving will get you points? k. 6. So posting to the forum gets you free points? Seems legit. 7. You can go to another's profile to see there stats, many are just to lazy too. 8. "Being mean to other users" - And how will the admins find this exactly? 9. "Improve the community" - It will not, the community is destroyed and corrupt, you can put this in all you want, it will just increase corruptions (Like it is now with the features that exist). __________________________________________________ Pro's: 1. See your stats on the forum page - This idea was not thought out.

If you're not reading it all the way (which I think your not) try it. He said he will revise, and probably keep the post count but add community points as well. And maybe the mods would have to support what you said to get a few points or something?

@white The mods read every single forum if possible. If you help a user out like answering questions, a mod could give you points. Now i think we should keep post count. I will update this thread in 23 hours to say that. Posting random things would not get you points, what you post must be helpful in some way. You could not get points for asking questions. It will improve the community. People will try to be good to improve their stats. If you are hating or pa`ing other users in the forums mods will see and take away points. as you can see i am taking suggestions. This post will change as good ideas come in. To me, most of your points are invalid. I have thought this through, trust me.

You are saying this without thinking, how will they find helpful things from the forums? Hundreds of threads per minute, most of them being corrupt, PA (Sometimes appears to be helpful until you see the other side), or Off Topic...

But this thread actually has a suggestion. -_-
