As you might the new re-removal of bevels has caused alot of mishap as far as ruining places that were designed using bevels. I am in no way against their removal for the pourpose of dynamic lighting, I would however like to see the bevels as an option if you are not using dynamic lighting. As a builder this has changed many of my places for the the worse, and I am sure others can say the same.
So please support and bring bevels back.

Support. I love the faster ROBLOX and the dynamic lighting, but this will stop people from complaining.

noobs.
Bevels were ALWAYS an option.
I've got a better idea.
Make bevel mesh's.
End of story. |

1. There IS a bevel mesh.
2. Bevels are not currently compatible with dynamic lighting.
3. I don't see anyone complaining. Most of them fixed their places.

@greenday Oh? Then why do the beveled blocks in my bevel demo place work perfectly fine with dynamic lighting? |
|
rayblonJoin Date: 2009-02-08 Post Count: 2043 |
@greenday Also, all special meshes(including head meshes) have no bevels at all. They only appear on valid humanoid parts. |

" Bevels are not currently compatible with dynamic lighting."
Then how come our characters have them and it works on them?
If you knew how computer graphics work then you'd know that that's bs.

Support, but I'm afraid this would be difficult for ROBLOX to implement, considering all the work they've put into a no-bevel-system.

Dynamic lighting and outlines also rely on anti-bevels, but I think you covered that in your post.

And when I say dynamic lighting relies on no bevels, I mean the full, "hardcore" dynamic lighting and the SIGNIFICANTLY ABUNDANT bevels that used to be in games (not the ones in our characters and/or some meshes).

Wait, how does dynamic lighting affect bevels?
May sound like a dumb question. |

"Wait, how does dynamic lighting affect bevels?"
It doesn't.

@Per
Dynamic lighting can't run on a game using bevels; it was implemented AFTER Roblox removed bevels.
