It took awhile for the PS3 sales to start boosting up. Hell, when it first came out, it actually received awful reviews. So unless good games come out for the Wii U (may take awhile, as the same thing was with the consoles) the sales will be slow for the time being.

Think of what happened to the 3DS too.

GI gave the Wii U itself a B-, so there is some hope if the inventors of the Original-Style Whine-And-Cheese Party gave it a 3.0 GPA. ~ MeeM ~

It will pick up when games start being released. I know there's a bunch of games I'm super excited for.

The Wii U itself is a powerful system, but I hate when people start saying, "wii u is not next gen yololo."

@Loe: Their usage of the term "YOLO" should show that they are cancer an need to be removed from this universe. ~ MeeM ~

"GI gave the Wii U itself a B-, so there is some hope if the inventors of the Original-Style Whine-And-Cheese Party gave it a 3.0 GPA." Who the hell is- nvm Anyway. The Wii U has some kind of mixed reception and reviews about it, people say that its pretty good but many argue that there is not much things innoative for the Wii U and theres nothing really giving it that hype or extreme momentum. Which I have to agree on, unfortunately. The Wii U has some good concepts in mind but, eh.

"The Wii itself is a powerful system." It actually isnt. The console ports to the Wii U cant even keep up with the graphics of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, its hardware isnt that great.

The Wii is severely under-powered. "The console ports to the Wii U cant even keep up with the graphics of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions" It has more graphical design then most ports, but not by much. Like Call of Dewty Blops 2.

Wii U actually has a good GPU from what I've heard but the horrible CPU (1.2ghz, I think) is slowing it down. The Wii U isn't next gen like some have claimed to be.

They should have made the start lineup better. There would have been a ton of preorders. ~Puncture the skin and see the blood run cold on desert sand~

"The Wii U isn't next gen like some have claimed to be." I had no idea that a certain number of check boxes had to be marked in order to be a next gen. So I guess Wikipedia is lying

"They should have made the start lineup better. There would have been a ton of preorders." The release was dreadful and kind of tragic to be honest, there was nothing interesting being released when it came out and even then, all I saw were dreadful console ports and the ZombieU. I admit, ZombieU looked decent but everything about it just looked too clunky for my taste.

"I had no idea that a certain number of check boxes had to be marked in order to be a next gen. So I guess Wikipedia is lying" It's a new console, in some ways, its expected to be next gen or atleast carry a lot of good features with it. The Xbox 720 and PS4 will be next gen so why not the Wii U?

it has next to no third party support and when it does get lucky and have a publisher pity it the game is objectively worse than any other console's version

"It needs games. That's all." It's not even that for me, I looked at the features online and from what I saw I wasn't impressed at all. I prefer the technical standards of a console, not what the game has on it. (Well, yeah, it matters, but you get the point)

Just wait until Bayonetta 2. The sales will rocket up faster than a...wel, rocket.
