Yes I realise this has been suggested a lot but I've never heard any word on if its actually being taken into consideration. I know a lot of people would benefit, especially people like me haha. I'm pretty sure it would generate some extra income for roblox too. Everybody wins.
And the whole take other peoples inactive usernames idea, no, thats a terrible idea. |

If you want another username, just make one. Simple as that.
Besides, when you get a name change, it resets all of your stats anyway. Join date, post count, KO's, etc. There's no benefit really if they added this feature. |

Well yeah, but I don't want to make another account after having this one for 3 years. All my money, places, models, friends, groups everything would be gone. I'd be back to square one again. Thats why I believe there is a benefit to simply being able to change the username. |

Join date is reset, as I stated previously.
"All my money"
Make a shirt on your new character and transfer all the money over.
"places"
Save them to your computer and re-upload them on your new character.
"models"
Save them to your computer, or make them public domain, and transfer them over.
"friends"
Re-friend them and explain to them that you switched over to a new person.
"groups"
Tell the group leader before hand that you are switching to a new user and I'm sure he'll let you back into the group at whatever rank you were. |

Good points, to only problems I see there is that theres a market place fee to transfer my money. My only other problem is all my hats/gear. Theres a few limited I could try to transfer but most of them I can't. This is especially annoying in terms of the ones that are no longer on sale. |

Not only will this dis-benifit you, people will have a hard time beleiving it's you.
If you change your name, people will get really confused and stuff.
Just trust me, this is a bad idea.

It's a good idea but everyone will be gettings confused.
If this actually happens, think of the forums it's all going to be
"I can't find the person I want, I hate roblox I quit"
It will mostly be that. |

I have to agree with you there, but for example, xbox live is an example of how this could work, but I do understand what with the forums this is a much different situation. Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself I won't have to start again for a name change.
Maybe there could be some kind of name history thing that tells people the usernames of that user in the past month or so. Just an idea. |
