They are useless. The devs say they are used to tell everyone if the item is a fake, which is untrue. They're filled with spam, newbie skids praising the creator for his freemodeling skills and beggars pleading for virtual currency. Just get rid of them. |

WNTS: "Removing a huge update"
The comments section is a huge update.
"No it isn't." - It has been here for a long time. And I can say that so many people have posted on it, it will never be removed.
"The comments section is filled with spam, and useless comments." - These people are called "Noob"s. If you don't like the comment section; ignore it. Simple as that.
"Who cares about WNTS?" - WNTS (What Not To Suggest) has a list of suggestions that will never be added. This is one of them.

It's really not possible. You could do key words, but that would not work out so well. I have never seen the comments section of an unpopular game (The popular games' comment section is filled with spam) used for anything other than flaming. I eventually had to remove the comments section from my games because another user (who wasn't banned) kept making false and inexplicable claims.
It isn't used for any good. Regardless if there's a good person who says a game is freemodeled people will:
a) Not even read the comments section and play the game.
b) Think that comment is from a flamer.
c) The comment will be swallowed by spam and no one will read it.
Removing the comments section would benefit ROBLOX. I really believe that the solution to 'freemodel awareness' is to have a developers section in the 'Games' page. It would have handpicked games from someone like Becky or Deepak. |
