Hey guys, I'm making a game using Unreal.
It'll be a steampunk FPS.
But I got to know, should I make the campaing first, or the firefight mode? |

Campaign, obviously.
That's what most of the game is built on. |

@Am.
Bioschock is not steampunk. |
|
|
@Rob.
Not always.
PlanetSide 2 doesn't have a story at all. |

@Yannick
Clearly it says ''MMO''. |
|
|

It's not.
The machines are not powered by steam. |

Ooh, you're gonna use Unreal Engine? Takes forever to get the hang of, and takes even longer to make things with it. But it pays off when you see what you did, and you're more appreciative of games after you make a game. |

@yannick
steampunk =/= machines powered by steam
its just machines powered by an intricate system of gears
|
|
|
@Am.
No.
Dieselpunk can also be powered by gears.
But the gears are powered by diesel.
In steampunk, they're powered by steam. |

A steampunk fps might be kk, though there is a fairly good steampunk like game around called Guns of Icarus which seems pretty good.
Maybe consider adding similar game concepts.

Yeah.
Luckly, I don't work alone. I work with 4 others. |

I'll check it out R3ge, thanks. |

I haven't messed with it a lot myself but I know someone who is making levels in it in the college they're going to. They made a room that was about 12X12 that was a japanese garden. Took them about a month to get it to look perfect. |
