Robinson started his career in 1947 and ended in 1956. Willie Mays stats in the 50s would of still beaten out Robinson even if you included his 10 best career seasons.

Mjo, being that Piazza has been great, but never to the point Griffey's numbers. Also being a catcher hurt his numbers offensively. Animated, Baseball. Best hitter and Best Pitcher of Each Decade of Pro-Baseball.

Yes but being a catcher and a feared hitter is something.

I had a huge debate inside my mind for 1960s pitcher. Bob Gibson or Sandy Koufax. I picked Koufax for his consistent dominance.

Okay Mjo. Would you say. Griffey < Piazza? or Pujols < Piazza? In the 2000s he averaged 116 games played, and only won the Rookie of the Year.

In what season? They made the World Series in 2000. You kinda need to have more than 1 good hitter to make the World Series.

Being a catcher does hurt your hitting. Often catchers bat near the bottom. So that means you'll have less at bats. Witch means less chances to get on base, and to get those RBI's ~Tʜᴀᴛ Rᴀɴᴅᴏᴍ Pᴇʀsᴏɴ~
