To begin, Rap is not all difficult and complicated in it's categories. For example. Me: Yo Whatsup! What are you listening to? Friend: Rap. You don't go to someone and say "What kind of metal are you listening to" you just say Ok or cool when they say "Rap". For example the types of metal I've heard are: Heavy Metal Satan Metal Hardcore Metal Night Metal Soft Metal Vomit Metal Scream Metal Trap Metal Black Metal Blood Metal Like df- no. Also it takes no talent to make a good metal song. "Auschwitz, the meaning of pain The way that I want you to die Slow death, immense decay Showers that cleanse you of your life " These are 4 lines I took from a metal song called "Angel of Death". What talent does that take to even make? Nothing rhymes, and they are probably screaming out the lyrics. Wow, it is so hard to scream out words. They must be emo. Rap takes talent. "Instutionalized, I lived my life a product made to crumble But too hardened for a smile, we're too crazy to be humble" These are two lines I took from a rap song called "Hail Mary" As you can see it rhymes, and if you listen to the song it flows with the beat and he is not screaming out non-sense. Lastly, Metal is irrelevant, Rap is relevant. So, Rap>Metal

rap is not a genre. there is no "this genre is better" or "that genre is worse than the genre i like."

Metal requires actual instruments to be played. Metal has intricate quitar work and drums generally. Screaming and growls are harder to do than sing if you actually do it well, and loud enough to recognizable. It is also difficult, because you can harm your vocal chords if you do it wrong. Rap is speaking to rhythm. Not saying that I say rap takes no talent, because I like rap, but it takes more talent to have a metal band than a rap artist IMO. You also say lil Wayne is the best thing since canned cheese. Lil Wayne doesn't rP fast or anything. Most of his songs are about the same thing. Now I do happen to like some of his songs. But look up eminem verses lil Wayne freestyle. Wayne is just speaking words slowly. He is not the best. Back to the subject. Metal, although much of it is about death, a lot of it also isn't about killing.

its ok eagles lion is just a pre teen who thinks he's cool because he listens to lil wayne lets look at lion's subgenres of metal (most are made up) Heavy Metal - ok Satan Metal - no such thing Hardcore Metal - incorrect name but ok Night Metal - no such thing Soft Metal - no such thing Vomit Metal - no such thing Scream Metal - pretty much the same thing as metalcore Trap Metal - its a combo of both rap and rock Black Metal - ok Blood Metal - no such thing now lets look at some of the subgenres of hip hop crunk (and crunkcore) alt hip hop christian hip hop horrorcore rap rock rapcore rap metal trap trip hop underground hip hop just to name a few. don't say there aren't subgenres of hip hop when there are (i know he did not directly say it but he implied it). "Also it takes no talent to make a good metal song." so just standing there talking takes talent, but singing, playing the guitar (more than one in a band usually), bass, and the drums is talent less? your logic is bad. "Rap takes talent." yes because "im the sh*t like i slithered in poo" takes a lot of talent. my 7 year old nephew could come up with that. Now here comes his sarcastic reply ignoring everything I said in this. Sorry if I offended anyone here who likes hip hop.
