The term "Best Friend" Implies that you know him most out of everyone. In real life do you have 100 best friends? No, the maximum of the amount I've seen 1 person have in real life is 10, which I still think is a bit high. A Best Friend also knows at-most 80%-90% of your secrets, you know just as much of his, you hangout with each other the most, and is your special friend. Knowing this, are you telling me you want over 200 people knowing you're secrets? Personally I think I would want the limit to be at-most 20. 20 people is all you need. I usually have good friends, or people I know IRL on my friends list. I saw a place where roblox was talking about the Best Friends tab. They recommended to keep only people you either:
1. Know very well
2. Know them IRL
3. Trust them with your life
They also said that one of the requirements for being a moderator (or increasing your chances for it) are having less then 50 friends to begin with. So here's a list of what I can see with 200 Best Friends:
1. You giving out tons of Personal Information to them
2. You being in a life and death situation, then dieing because your "Best Friend" failed to save you. Even tho you trusted him/her with your life.
3. Having to many friends you trust completely.
Honestly, unless you and your "Best Friends" are what make people "Best Friends" 100%, you're just putting them there for no reason. |

I'm leaving the thread now because I'm not keeping it up 24/7, it's not that important. I said something about it because it was a stupid remark. However, I do not think you are an idiot for the remark. It just means you need to be educated of why it would be a bad idea. So please, consider what I said about the BF's. Consider it so that you could understand a bit about why it would be better. Don't see the less BF's from the "OMG I HAVE LESS OF SOMETHING NOW" perspective, but instead see it from a "Well, that makes sense. It makes sense because BF's are special friends." |

i support this now, i found that if roblox do not do that update, you can meet the old friends if it is possible. you might lost your old friends if it did. |

This thread's been dead mostly because I thought the update was cancelled, and I was so happy...

I'm mostly gonna be restating a lot of things, so go ahead and read if you'd like, but here goes.
I understand that people want better friend managing options, but seriously, mass wiping our lists and then slapping a limit on them is a terrible way to go through with it. I have NO idea how some people actually like the idea, because apparently, just to clean their friend list, they need Roblox to hold their hands and wipe their friend lists for them while everyone who doesn't want it gets affected. It's like if they were five and were asking their parents to wipe their butt, but the parents do it and then everyone gets affected because then they need wiping, too.

ME:the reason why there wipeing and putting a limit on it is because kids are accepting to many friend request and the friend count system is going out of hand. and the reason why i like this is because ill be able to play my favorite games alone without any exploiters.

I saw the BloxCast and.. Well.. They showed the new site design and with the Friends and Followers update but the only thing that was my favorite out of all that was Private Servers. Yeah, can't wait for that but hopefully it turns out good and cross my fingers that it's as good as my expectations

@OP, there's no reason to have 1k+ people on your friends list. Not to mention 500, or even 200.
There's no way you could be the definition of "friend" to that many. |

@Nyx Ok, maybe I don't, but the problem is that there's probably a lot of people on my friend list that are worthwhile to keep that may have not bothered to add me as a best friend yet. It's going to be a nightmare to look through my list of Followers to find them again.
Also, Roblox hasn't bothered to make this information well-known yet. They've only ever mentioned the social update on the blog and on Twitch, but only a small part of the userbase even checks the blog, as well as the Twitch channel. If the update is supposed to come out by the end of the month (TOMORROW), then why the hell haven't they tried to reach out to the rest of the community?
There's still no reason as to why Roblox should wipe our friend lists just because some other babies are complaining. It's stupid, and affects the majority of the community negatively. |

They aren't wiping your friends list. They are simply moving all your "Friends" to "Followers". |

I know that, but there's still no reason to.
MAYBE some people would actually enjoy that, since they don't wanna get off their lazy butts to do it themselves. But why force it on everyone? At least give us an option to wipe our list or not. |
