There is nothing wrong with pruning your child. It is your child, raise it, train it, shape it, whatever it but there is a certain age you need to stop. I am not saying stop all together, I am saying it is their life let them make mistakes if and only if the mistakes aren't life threatening or harmful to others. Parents that don't realize this or don't draw the line that well are too caring. Parents that yell at them for getting anything lower than an A, care too much. Parents that try to parent a young adult, care too much. I feel like young adulthood starts at 17 unarguably. 15 you're getting to the point but you can still be charged without a doubt. 16 is up for debate, pretty much you are who you are at that point but still require some guidance. With that being said children at those ages shouldn't do everything their parents say, within reason. IE, you can't see that movie, you can't use the car, no friends over, no going to that party. Childern/'young adults' shouldn't ask your parents for permission to do everything. It is your life, you are free to live and learn. You should still ask for advice and whatnot but if they disagree with you you doing something you shouldn't give up on that endeavor. A friend's dad once told me this you shouldn't not buy that new fancy car just because your parents say you should not buy it;it's your money. TL;DR: if you are a young adult your parents shouldn't tell you what to do. And even if you are not at a certain age like in your teens parents that care too much don't realize that mistakes are the Best learning experiences.

Sadly Mr. F this isn't a movement and doesn't have one. But if you want to wire money to an off shore account of mine, what would be great.

To be honest I'd rather if my dad didn't care at all while my mom cared. That would be heavenly.

Mike Brown was an outstanding person from what I heard, I'm sure his parents are proud of him. He just was in a bad crowd, he was going to go to an university apparently. So he was probs gonna change once he got away from his friends, but we will never know though.

You were hearing wrong, he punched a cop, stole cigars, and tried to reach for the cops gun. Obviously the parenting was horrible.

How do you think he would have acted if his friends weren't with him? I am not trying to justify his actions. Just saying he was a nice person, who was probs gonna to change in college. His parents did their best, and they succeeded on personality, whoever they failed in choosing the right crowd. I like to see the cup half full in this 50% thing.

Have you never heard of 'tough love'? That is when you say, "screw it! You find out what is what on your own", could have explained that better but oh well.

"that phrase doesn't apply to family" It does. You have to let your children leave the nest. Caged bird and all that crap. And on a side note, your trains ONLY apply to mobile foruming.
