Yeah, The Last Airbender is in the grey area just like Avatar: The Legend of Korra. (Which is an awesome anime-inspired show, as well)
I guess anime is popular because everyone has their own opinions. I myself watch quite a bit of anime but I will admit some thing are extremely weird. I don't know how but Rock Lee and His Ninja Pals is somehow weirder than the main Naruto series, which is saying something cause there's a guy in the main show who makes bombs out of play doh and his own spit. He's like MacGyver but with mouths on his palms and a hairdo straight out of Final Fantasy or something. |

Don't even mention The Legend Of Korra. The show sucked. Season one was pretty good, Season 2 sucked, Season 3 started to get better and Season 4 was flat out okay. It's pretty much a C- in my book. It's a good way to fall from grace. |

I watch the Dubbed version because it feels uncomfortable watching it in Japanese after watching the English Dub since childhood.
The Dub's only at episode 270 or 280. ;-;
There was a new episode today so I'm going to be watching that. |

Cartoon makes too much sense. It's relatable. The style is boring, the characters are boring, and the soundtrack is boring.
All it's about is short haired boys and medium length haired girls trying to be funny with the outlines so thick that it could crush someone. |

Well what you first have to grasp is the fact that the world doesn't revolve around your opinion and therefore won't conform to it, as it's composed of many different opinions and not everyone will share your opinion every time
Second, not all anime pride themselves on art style, not to mention some actually have well developed storylines, albeit that also is subjective and would have to be discovered according to individual taste

@Jrad, I watched dub, but I got tired of waiting, I stopped when it was where Zetsu was about to kill Sakura (wish he did) but, I've gotten used to sub version, I freaking love Naruto. |
