Anime isn't limited to one set of looks or story, just like cartoons. Anime is just a catch-all for japanese animation. There's a wide variety of stuff, and some of your favorite movies/TV shows may even be anime without you knowing. Saying that anime is solely made up of cute girls with large eyes and spikey haired boys is like a foreigner saying that american cartoons show swear words every 5 seconds and are always focused on a small dysfunctional family living in some imaginary city or a group of teenage potheads. |

it makes me cringe when people complain about anime, because when they make posts like this it's clear they've never even bothered to watch one and just go by the fan art and troll posts on tumblr
if you want to make a valid argument you have to have at least some knowledge of what you're trying to argue against |

They're comprised almost entirely of the things they hate about anime
And AoT is fairly mediocre
