You are a young boy, about 10 or 11.
You wake up to your sister shaking you and shouting, "C'mon, lets go have fun in the town! We could go to the arcade, or the playground, or who knows where?" |
I slowly wake up with a yawn, I asked her "What time is it?" |
"It's 10:00, silly!" she says, "You slept in! Don't worry, it's a Saturday!" |
"Okay, let's take breakfast first, ready ourselves up, and we'll go out." I told her as I get off of bed. |
You eat some cereal, and take a few bucks off of the counter that mom left for you.
Your sister is excited to play with you. |
Before we could go out, I ask my sister "So, where do you wanna go?" |
"Let's start at the arcade!" she says,"I like the whack-a-mole machine they have there!" |
"Okay then, let's go." I said to her as we went out of the house and left. |
You have fun all day. You stop at the arcade, the playground, a diner for lunch, the sweet shop, and even the local soccer field. When all was done, you started heading home.
You were out a little later than you should have been, and it's about 8:05 PM. |
I look at my sister, she seems satisfied. "So, you have fun?" I asked. |
I responded with a smile on my face, then facing back on the road. |
Your parents get home at 8:30. You'll never get there on time on the traditional route. |
I look at my watch, and its almost 8:30. "Come on, we need to hurry up before our parents realizes were gone." I tell my sister and we sped up. |
You'll have to take a shortcut to get there on time. |
We then find a shortcut that could get us home quickly, but I'm not sure if it is okay, buy we head there anyways. |
You head down a road, and are almost home...
But you hear gunshots.
You are in an alleyway, and peak out onto the street, seeing utter chaos. People firing at police and burning down homes with molotovs. |
"What is going on out here?!" I thought "We need to get home and tell our parents." I turn to my sister and said "Listen, we need to make a run for it. Whatever happens, don't let go, okay?" |
You run. You run, trying to get away from the attackers, but you are already too deep. You see your sister get shot, and she falls to the ground.
The next moments felt like they were in slow motion.
SWAT team members surround you to protect you, seeing you as a priority since you're children. They make a wall defending you as you cry over your sister, breathing her last breaths. The SWAT team yells to call for an ambulance, but it was too late for your sister.
It took another 10 minutes to calm the situation. The SWAT team takes you back to the station, leaving your sister to be picked up by the coroner.
And then you wake up.
You are an adult, and that day haunts you, forever lurking in your memory. From there, most of it was slow paced, but just as scarring. When the police force found out your parents were dead, they had to put you in an orphanage.
That's when you met the Boss.
Do you remember? |
I remember him, he is like a father to me. While I was a kid, he was a young man who is working as a freelance detective. He provided me with any thing he got, he even supported me in my studies up until I've graduated college. He is all I have since then. |
So do you remember the day you and him met at the orphanage? |
Yeah I did. The caretakers told me that someone is looking for a child to adopt, and that's him. I was first curious of what he is, he looked at me with a smile. "I'll be the one to take care of you." That's what he said to me. I felt like there is still hope for me to live and its him. |
And after years of apprenticeship, you arrive to this point, where you took over the coveted title "The Boss" after his death. Since then, you vowed to find his killer.
But for today, you need to solve another murder case.
You were asked to come down to Faradora Boulevard to investigate a crime scene. |
