We NEED better communication between staff and players.

Also in the forums; i've noticed that we need to continuously "bump" a thread in order to get a mod's attention on an issue. And sometimes, it takes a week for them to respond if at all. Now, I do understand that the mods do the best they can. I just feel that there should be better [and faster] communication in the forums and such." Hey Cyloch. Are you thinking something like patch notes for the website? I'll be honest with you that this is unlikely, at least in a familiar form. We ship quite a few changes on a daily basis, so preparing an exhaustive list of patch notes just isn't something we have the time to do. We might be able to create notes for just the bigger stuff and leave out the minor things. So the forums... they need work. You've probably noticed that a lot of the site is being updated. The forums are on that list, but unfortunately it's a long list and a forum redesign is a big project. Here's some of the major stuff that I've noticed needs some work. * Navigation is wonky. * No way to tell what a mod has posted on. * Sorting posts by most recent comment (bumping) is not a good way of determining what's popular or recent (necroing, spamming, etc). * General styling. * Poor formatting tools.

The bigger stuff is what we'd prefer to have a say in, and have notice before it actually happens. If it's going to have big changes on how we browse the site, what things we can purchase, how we play the games, how we make the games, 'n' all that, then I think we should have, at least, a notice.

I totally agree. They could make an extension or something or just a simply notification such as the one facebook uses when people sends you anything. They could do votations on what the Community think and then decide between the results and the consequenses there could be. I hope they really be more closer, even me since 2009, I always had seen a bit less communication, many MMORPGs, games uses notifications so players could know any changes, even the Steam PC Companies, that sells their creations. Owning since 09' I Experienced ROBLOX Player

@Mandaari Well, I do understand that the amount of notes could become overwhelming. I just think that we should have some kind of [like you said] a "patch notes" system implemented for the website. Things that affect community severely should probably be made note of. Let's take the group "payout" update for example. Like, a few weeks ago, Roblox removed the payout options temporarily. It only lasted for about a day, but I heard that some developers panicked because their "studios" couldn't distribute their payout with the games they've helped build. I just think that we should be informed if certain features are going to be added or disabled temporarily.

For example, what about the membership changes was the problem? Do you feel like the current choices aren't adequate? Are you OK with the changes but don't like that they were unannounced?" I know some people are upset with the changes because they were saving up money for memberships like lifetime, and others who were planning on getting membership in the future had them in consideration for later. Personally, though, the changes don't concern me that much, but the changes being completely unannounced is my problem. These are really big changes as to how people can buy membership for ROBLOX, and anything regarding a change to how real currency is spent on any game should be announced beforehand. By the way, thanks for forwarding the thread. It's nice to know that these issues are going to be put into consideration

Support I have been away for a long time and I noticed tons of unwanted changes, for instances, did anyone here know that you could change the Sound's Pitch to a number less than 0? The range values use to be from - infinity (in theory) to + infinity (also in theory), now if you try to add a value of let's say -2.0, the game will rewrite it as 0

He's right about constantly bumping. I've bumped a bug in roblox's ScrollingFrame for a week with 90 bumps, and has gained no attention: http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=169046425 I'm sure you're busy with other things, but if there's a problem many developers suffer with(like the ScrollingFrame one), it should at lease be considered.

Hey guys. A little late but here's an update. The lack of communications around group payouts being temporarily disabled was our bad. We're trying out some things to make sure things like this don't happen again. I'm going to hold off on talking about our silence around lifetime/6 month BC. That's a much more sensitive topic that'll require a better answer than I can give right now. We're looking to create better discussion tools for you all. We want to make sure that you have a place for any discussion you want that's easy for everyone to find the quality posts. We're still exploring how we want to do this. Things aren't going to change overnight, but you should see progression with time. If not then by all means please continue to call us out on it.

I'm pretty sure everyone's really glad to see you guys are going to work on communication with the community, even if it does take a while (not too long!) for you guys to sort things out. Personally, I am curious as to what happened to 6 month and lifetime BC, but I understand if it's something that you can't talk about right now. I do hope we eventually get some sort of answer as to why it was completely unannounced, though.
