So earlier today I thought of something that would help out people a lot. Many people want that user_name that just suits them. But sadly sometimes it is taken by someone who played for just a few days. And this can be very stressful and irritating. So here is my proposal to ROBLOX.
When a player goes to change a user_name, they can take someone else's if they have not logged in for a year. And if and when the player who got there name taken logs in. They are promoted to change it to a different one since there's was taken. And when someone takes someone else's name they are given the other persons user_name. Such as SpikeMoneky101, BannaApple204, something simple.
For Example,
User AppleOrange219, wants to change his/her user_name to SpikeMonkey101. But SpikeMonkey101, is taken by a 08'er that never logged in again after joining. So AppleOrange219 can take SpikeMonkey101's username. And the previous SpikeMonkey101 is now known as AppleOrange219. And everyone is happy.
This will rise a bit of a programming error though if the persons user_name is no longer the same as it was. So SpikeMonkey101 goes to login but the user_name and pass_word is incorrect. So I was thinking if we add a table to the DB labeled like "org_name". So you can check if that user_name is the "org_name" and if it is. Then it will login, then the user will be promoted to change the username to a new one.

Worst Idea ever. It can cause impersonation and confusion If I wanted to have the name "John Doe" or "Toolbox", then I can have it because they haven't logged in for years? If someone saw your username, thinking it was their friend, they would be confused.
Also. This could happen.
- Someone has tests/important things/priorities to do before ROBLOX.
- They are offline for a year.
- They come back to find out that their name is prettyflower123.
And you know what they will instantly think after that? They got hacked. Rethink your idea. And then..
- They realize that they have to change their name to something different, even though it took then so long to come up with a name like that.

What would make this idea MUCH better is if you could "Borrow Usernames" for example, you will swap usernames until the person logs in and they get it back, so that they don't go to the website thinking they got hacked. |

No support, some debs quit years ago and then someone might take their name thinking it's them, plus names like "cake" and "doggy" and "blue" would be everywhere. |

Support, He means only the people who aren't admins, admins can't get there name taken. because you know they're admins. I support this. Just if you want to keep it for the rest of the time you are able to switch it on or off, like if your going on vacation |

Not really funny. Just a simple word everyone knows. So what about this guys. Some adjustments to it.
- Forget to say any Admins names can't get taken.
- You get a email to your irl email account saying you have 7 days to log in or "Player1" will be trading names with you.
And it wouldn't be like BlackFriday, they still have to pay the 1k Robux. And most people consider a name change a waste of time. And any body with stupid names like there names. And plus they won't be able to save up 1k to safe there lives. |

Support. But I believe the deadline shouldn't be 1 year, maybe 2 or so. And, many problems could arise with this, so the two or more year deadline should be sufficient. |

That should be changed to SpikeMonkey101 chooses another username.

No support. Too much confusion. What I do recommend, is having a system, where if 2 users agree, you can take another's username |

Its a good idea, but there is probably a better way to handle it. like send out a one-time message saying "Please click this box to confirm you are not a spam account" and that happens only once. and wait a year, (I know a long time) and the accounts that didnt do it get deleted, or frozen |
