----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Papyrus
Gender: Male
Age (Optional): [UNKNOWN]
Species: Monster/Skeleton.
Appearance: http://i.im*.co*m/3iKXI*Wv.png
Personality (Optional): Papyrus is a loud and flamboyant skeleton who presents a confident, charismatic image of himself. He always works hard, and despite his brash personality, he is a very kind skeleton at heart. He is extremely optimistic and innocent, as well as somewhat oblivious and non-observant. Papyrus is also apparently quite intelligent, as shown when he creates numerous puzzles, which he is very passionate about, and tricks Undyne into making friends with a human by using reverse psychology. Papyrus believes in others just as much as he believes in himself, having an extreme amount of faith in the abilities of himself and the abilities of others. Papyrus also apparently is uncomfortable with the act of hurting other people, and when he does attack someone, he will only attack them until they cannot fight anymore. He likes spaghetti and cooks it in his spare time, though some people seem to think that he is not very good at it. Papyrus often dislikes puns, but will very rarely make one himself if he thinks that it is clever enough.
Weapon(s): Papyrus uses numerous weapons and magic: for example, he uses magical attacks involving bones. However, these bones are not simply clubs to be used on your head- for example, if you have a SOUL, these bones will attack the SOUL instead of you, causing them to be incredibly more powerful than just being clobbered over the head with bones. He can use them strategically and trap the enemies with them, especially with the help of the magical Blue Bones, which will harm the enemy drastically if they are moving when the bone comes in contact with them. Papyrus may or may not also possess a Gaster Blaster, a magical skull of what seems to be a dragon which shoots incredible laser beams from its mouth, which also targets the SOUL and has the power to be extremely damaging. We don't know if he actually even has these, though.
Power(s): Papyrus's powers are one of the more mysterious and vague things about him. He may or may not possess telekinesis like Sans does, with the ability to throw people around, he may also possess a handful of incredible other abilities in his Special Attack, which was never seen, and he also has his Fabled Blue Attack, which, when used, Papyrus clicks his fingers, and the enemy that he is fighting instantly loses all flying capabilities if they have them, made by machine or not, and their jumping ability becomes MUCH shorter.
Backstory/Biography: The origins of Papyrus is unknown- all that is known is that he is the brother of Sans, and he was one of the Monsters who were sealed away underground, and he and Sans "showed up" one day in Snowdin in the Underground. After years and years of being stuck underground, they were freed by a human named Frisk by shattering the magical barrier keeping them underground, and presumably moved to the surface along with all of the Monsters, where the humans also presumably welcomed them with open arms, as Papyrus drives a car down motorways frequently.
Residing Universe: Undertale
Other: "THOROUGHLY JAPED AGAIN BY THE GREAT PAPYRUS!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"A skeleton? That's all bony? HA!" The voice, deep and bitter, mocked you. As you regained consciousness, you opened your eyes to see that you were lying in an alley somewhere, as light shone down upon you.
"Well, welcome to the 'REAL' world, my friend!" He said to you.
QUEST STARTED: The Driver
NEW OBJECTIVE: Find your way out |
~Papyrus~
He slowly woke up, and opened his eyesockets. He could see that he was in an alleyway of some kind- at least, that was what it looked like from his short time on the surface. He scratched his skull, and leapt to his feet, seemingly full of energy again.
"WOWIE! IS THIS A PUZZLE? WELL, NEVER FEAR, STRANGE VOICE! PUZZLES ARE NO MATCH FOR THE GREAT PAPYRUS! THE ONLY THING THAT'LL BE LEFT "PUZZLING" YOU IS HOW THIS VERY COOL SKELETON CLEARED IT SO FAST! NYEH HEH HEH HEH!" Papyrus cackled, raising his fist in the air excitedly. He looked in front of him, and decided that, since it was an alleyway, the best course of action to take would be to take the path right in front of him. Without hesitation, he sprinted forward at an unnecessarily fast speed down the alleyway. |
(Wait, is someone here with me, or is it just a voice?) |
(Sorry. Just a voice.)
As you sprinted down the alley, you could see that the path you led out to actually a small little door made out of wood. The knob was rusted down and extremely worn- who knows how that happened? |
(It's okay, I understand you're under a heavy workload.)
~Papyrus~
He came to the door, and observed it. Huh, it looks like it's been here a while. No matter for the Great Papyrus, of course! He pounded on the door multiple times politely, then twisted the knob and threw it open if the door wasn't locked. If it wasn't locked, Papyrus strode in and yelled:
"GREETINGS, INHABITANTS! YES, IT IS I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS! MAY I COME IN?" He asked, his massive smile plastered on his face as he looked around. |
(Try having a conversation with your parent about track and field while typing simultaneously.)
As you opened the door, you were met with...
...An empty meat packing factory. Seriously. It also seemed relatively modern, and tidy. It's one thing for a rusty factory to be abandoned, but this? Strange.
"Great job talking to yourself!" The voice cackled with delight, seemingly enjoying it.
"Who's gonna hear you in here?" He asked as his words echoed throughout the walls. |
~Papyrus~
"REALLY? WOWIE, THANKS!" Papyrus replied to the voice sarcastically complimenting him on yelling into the factory. It seemed he didn't understand what sarcasm was. He stepped over a box, and carried on talking as he explored the factory.
"I KNOW A FRIEND WHO TALKS TO THE TELEVISION SOMETIMES. SHE WATCHES THESE WEIRD CARTOONS WITH OUT-OF-PROPORTION HUMANS. IT'S REALLY STRANGE, BUT IF IT MAKES HER HAPPY, THEN I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM!" Papyrus cheerfully said, referencing a certain royal scientist from his timeline. He walked through the factory, checking rooms and boxes and other containers for sign of anyone else or anything else. It's definitely not because he's way too invested in this.
"THERE'S NO NEED TO HIDE FROM THE GREAT PAPYRUS! JUST A LIVING, WALKING, AND TALKING SKELETON! THERE'S NOTHING TO FEAR!" Papyrus called out yet again. |
Still nothing. All of a sudden, the machinery turned on, and the conveyor belts began to move on their own, without anyone operating them. A small meat sack suddenly smacked you in the side as it zoomed by you, hanging by a claw.
"You better watch your step," The voice noted snarkily. |
~Papyrus~
"THANK YOU FOR THE WARNING!" Papyrus thanked the voice, without a trace of sarcasm in his voice. Did he even know what it was? Nevertheless, he steered clear of the conveyor belts, and began looking for an exit. He began reading signs that would perhaps tell him where the exit was. |
There were no signs, but there were some lights lit that probably led somewhere, whilst there were unlit lights which led to a dead end, I guess? |
~Papyrus~
Well, a dead end might have something there. See, his puzzle skills do pay off. He ran down the path to the unlit lights first, and if there was nothing there, he went down the path with the lit lights with a "NYEH HEH HEH!" |
As you rounded the corner you heard a group of voices.
"We have you now, little girl!" One said, a deep and gruff one.
"No need to worry- we'll make this... Swift." Another, which was slightly higher-pitched. You could hear a girly shriek as you approached.
"HELP!" The voice screamed, even though it was unlit and dark. |
~Papyrus~
He gasped lightly when he heard the scream. Help? No problem! Papyrus was GREAT at help! Papyrus sprinted down the corner to where the voices were, and jumped right in the middle of them, holding his right hand out in a "halt" position. Bones and Blue Bones were circling around him, illuminating the room with his magic.
"HALT, EVILDOERS! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE DOING, BUT IF ANYONE TRIES TO HURT EACH OTHER, THEN! I'LL BE FORCED! TO SHOW YOU WHAT A VERY FAMOUS ROYAL GUARDSMAN SUCH AS MYSELF CAN DO!" Papyrus ordered, sounding like he was a character on television. This might actually be a good tactic- they would probably be frightened by the sight of a living, breathing skeleton with magical attacks behind him telling them to stop. |
The lights suddenly lit up there, and you could see three giant, gruff men wearing inmate costumes surrounding a blonde-haired, green-eyed girl. The trio turned to face you as the girl shrank backwards in fear...
...And they burst into laughter.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" They shouted simultaneously, doubling over from your appearance.
"What is this, a Halloween prank?" The first one yelled as they continued to guffaw.
"It's been a long time since Halloween, sir! Get rid of the costume!" The second man laughed. |
~Papyrus~
The height of the inmates probably didn't matter much to Papyrus- he was around 7 feet. He seemed to now be making friendly conversation with them.
"A PRANK? OH, I THINK YOU MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN ME CONFUSED WITH MY BROTHER. HE'S ALWAYS PULLING PRANKS ON PEOPLE! I'M GLAD YOU'VE NOTICED MY BATTLE BODY!" Papyrus cheerfully said, patting his fist on his chestpiece of his costume.
"IT'S WHAT ANY SELF-RESPECTING COOL GUARDSMAN LIKE MYSELF SHOULD WEAR! SPEAKING OF WHICH, HUMANS, WHY ARE YOU HOLDING THIS OTHER HUMAN HOSTAGE? SHE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE SHE WANTS TO BE HERE." Papyrus remarked, getting closer to them as his magical attacks still span behind him. As he got closer, it got more and more obvious that he was an actual skeleton. |
(Sorry if I'm posting a little inconsistently and slow. I just realised I had Red Orchestra 2 in my steam library, and I've been playing it. Sorry.) |
The trio suddenly stopped laughing, and glared at him.
"What we are going to do to that girl is none a' your business." The third inmate- a giant brute- said, and unholstered a gray snub-nosed revolver to point it at you.
"Besides, we're just giving her a little... 'Love'." He told you as the first inmate yanked the young female's hair and grabbed her by the neck with one hand before unholstering his own revolver and pointing it at her head with the off hand. |
~Papyrus~
A revolver might not actually do much to him. He had no vitals to hit, being a skeleton, and his skeletal shape would make it much harder to actually hit anything that wasn't his "Battle Body". Nevertheless, he was surprised by what was happening, but he still had his large smile plastered on his face.
"OOOOOH! I SEE! YOU WANT TO DUEL THE GREAT PAPYRUS TO SEE IF YOUR SKILLS ARE UP TO THE TEST? WELL, WHILE I MUST SAY, HOLDING SOMEONE HOSTAGE MAKES THIS QUITE DIFFICULT, PAPYRUS IS ALWAYS UP TO THE CHALLENGE! WATCH THIS, HUMAN! NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!" Papyrus said, glancing over at the girl at the last statement, before seemingly "blinking", and he could see the inmate's SOULS. Without warning, Papyrus threw the ring of bones that was behind him at the person holding the young girl hostage, probably knocking his gun out of his hands. He then raised his hands up and swung them sideways, and Blue Bones attacked all three of them at the same time, closing them in and attacking their SOULS. Papyrus swung his hand down again, and bones came down from the floor and the ceiling, with only a minuscule gap between them while being attacked with all of the other bones. If that wasn't enough, Papyrus raised his left arm and a huge barrage of bones appeared from the floor, aiming to sweep up all of the inmates, as it was quite a tall wall, before swiping his hand sideways and causing a huge barrage of bones to be swung at all of them at the sky, attacking their SOULS like all of the other attacks. And to end his assault, he span around and swung his arm again, causing Blue Bones and regular Bones to attack them all at the same time. This was a predicament, because it would probably cause damage to them all either way, since you had to not be moving to dodge the Blue Bones, but you had to dodge the regular ones. |
(Aaaugh, IDK where to go.
P.S. The three inmates are the Mobsters. Guess who's missing?)
THe gun was easily knocked out of the hostage-holder's hands, and the girl darted out from his grasp and began to flee. As for the other two? They began to dance about, avoiding the regular bones... UNTIL the blue bones hit them smack in the faces. They immediately grimaced simultaneously, but unholstered their revolvers to begin firing at the skeleton's head even though they predicted it wasn't going to do any good. However, they used this to begin moving towards the skeleton, trying to force him away from the hallway so they could flee.
The failure hostage holder winced at each and every bone hit, but stayed still in an attempt to keep from succumbing. He was completely unharmed by the blue bones, but took massive hits by the regular bones. |
(I bet I know who the girl is.)
(Weasel's missing, isn't he?)
~Papyrus~
He stepped with the girl, protecting her from further hits with bone attacks and his own body. He was gracefully causing the bullets to miss, be it slicing them away with bones or leaning out of the way like a boxer. He then looked backwards at the human girl as he continued to raise bones from the floor to push them away, and realised that he needed to get them both out of there, as he didn't feel like these people were the most friendly, for some reason.
"UH... OH, NO! I JUST REMEMBERED! WE BOTH HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM! YOU THREE HAVE FUN!" Papyrus yelled at them, before raising his right hand and clicking his fingers three times, one for each perpetrator. As soon as he did that, their SOULs turned blue, and they felt like gravity was doubled on them, making them much slower. Papyrus then quickly lifted up the human girl in his arms to protect her as they ran away. He was obviously much faster and capable of keeping them safe, as he jumped from wall to wall, drop kicking one perpetrator in the side of the head before spinning around, his scarf gracefully whipping around as he did so, and caused bones to rise up from the ground beneath the other two, most likely sweeping them off of their feet, then sending very fast, short bones their way multiple times, before making a break for it.
"DON'T WORRY, HUMAN! THE GREAT PAPYRUS HAS YOU!" He yelled to the girl in his arms cheerfully, before making a break for it. He ran back the other way, his immense height allowing for very fast running speed due to the lengthy strides, and began running down the hallway which previously had its lights on. Perhaps that lead to an exit. If not, and he just ran into the perpetrators again, well, he would just have to force them away again, wouldn't he? |
(I really need to go to bed now, sorry. Goodnight.) |
(Shoot. I was planning to post this just now, too!)
The girl shrieked loudly, whilst the three men were stunned. However, the one who had grabbed the girl smirked, and held out the girl's weapons- a dark red sword and a green shield.
"Missing this?" He called out as you kept moving, albeit it seemed kinda too late... But the further you went from the sword, the more fatigued the girl seemed. It was as if her life force was tied to the sword? |
~Papyrus~
He turned his head backwards, and noticed that the girl seemed more and more fatigued the further he went.
"OH, OF COURSE! WE CAN'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF BEHIND! DETOUR TIME! NYEH HEH HEH HEH!" Papyrus cackled, as he began running the way towards the perpetrators again.
"EXCUSE ME, COULD WE PLEASE HAVE THOSE BACK?" Papyrus asked politely, as he sent more Bones their way, but they seemed to be moving towards the ground and raising on their own, and there were Blue Bones coming from behind them, as well, still attacking their SOULs. |
