I try remembering my history...somehow, I had lost memory of my past and basic identification, but yet I had remembered the things I had learned. I knew how to talk, I knew how to walk, I knew everything and maybe even a little more than everyone should need to know. Yet I have no memory of my past. I examine my appearance; I have brown hair and tan skin. I appear to have a few scrathces and scabs on my skin for whatever reason. My feet have no protection, my legs only have shorts, and my white yet stained T-Shirt seems to have some symbol with mud intentionally rubbed all over it. I look very tall and very skinny; I'd predict I am around 5'8'' and 119 pounds. My eyes...well, I don't know how, but I somehow see my eyes being a bright blue color.
After identifying that I had no memory of my past, what day it was, or how I got here, I try looking around my surrondings. |

I slowly stand, groggy and in a daze. I look around, but everything seems too surreal to concentrate on. I blinked a few times, trying to focus on something, but everything simply appears of strokes of colour.
As I slowly gain my bearings, I reach for my left hand. Half a finger is missing. I vaguely remember losing it, but the memory is hazing and filled with holes. I shake my head clear of the thought, and examine my surroundings. |

I attempt to remember my history before waking up, but to no avail. I could still walk, talk and do other basic tasks someone like me should know, but for whatever reason, nothing about my past comes to me.
I get up from whatever I was laying down on, and look down on what I was wearing. A simple T-shirt, with knee-high pants... along with some sneakers to protect my feet. I don't have any weapons though, which is unfortunate, because I have a strange feeling of intense caution. |

As you stumbled around, one of your feet had slid off the edge of something, causing you to fall to the ground. When you examine everything, you can see that you are on top of a high cliff. A few more inches, and you would have fallen over the edge! You can hear a soft cooing, as from a bird. It seems mostly calm, but there is not a blade of grass for as far as you can see. You think you can hear some kind of motor in the distance.

"What the hell?" I ask the air, my voice hoarse and gravelly from days (hours? years? millenia?) of disuse. Strangely enough, the vibration of the words in my throat seem unfamiliar.
I try to focus on where the motor is coming from, but it appears that the noise is coming from nowhere at all.
My mind, slowed by the strange shock of coming out of my sleep, suddenly realizes how close I came to death, and I collapse to my hands and knees, suddenly exhausted. My eyes sting, and my forehead feels like it's filled with static. I slowly stand up again, and walk along the edge of the cliff, trying to find a safe way down. |

I hear the scream and notice the rumbling. I listen to the voice. Was it family? An important relative or person in my life? No...somehow I identified the voice as someone I had only truly noticed once or twice in my life, giving me a sense of possibly them knowing a part of my past. I feel like the desert cave will close in on me for whatever reason, so I quickly get up and flee from the inside of the never-ending-darkness cave. |
