Welcome to office President Fischer. You are the new ruler of Austria. Once a great and powerful nation, now just another European power. Financially you have no true problems. You are in an era of peace and prosperity and have nothing to do but grow and expand. To start out, you should set your income tax rate. (Reccommended 10%-35% to begin with. Even distributed or among different wealth groups is up to you.) ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

Before starting, would Pokemonkid be fine with having the countries in the ISRP intertwined?

(Recesity, It would be difficult to have 3 countries intertwined due to the coordinated activity it would take between 3 players. Less would be done each day the more players you include, since as shown, Pokemonkid isn't even online right now.) ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

The moment you have been put in office, you have immediately been asked to revise a law of your great nation. It has long been a custom that once fit males turn 18, they must serve 6 months military service, followed by 8 years of reserve service. And both males and females are allowed to volunteer by the age of 16. In a world of ever-expanding equality, some find that this law should be placed on women as well, or removed completely. (Effects are obvious in terms of military strength and happiness.) (Tip, a happy nation volunteers more.) And feel free to change the volunteer age if it suits your opinion. ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

I decide to change this to 3 months of military service, 2 year of reserve.

Military size will notice an increase, as will happiness among males for making the law equal, and among many others for lowering the service time. Would you like another domestic issue to take part in so to make some progress before the international reports start rolling in? Or do you have any questions or an action of your own you would like to make? ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

Since the parents technically decide which religion a child shall be until adulthood, freedom of religion for ALL ages, and then to the next Domestic issue(or major thing.)

Instituted. Next domestic issue is in the area of education. Currently only 9 years of education is mandatory in Austria. In order to keep up with the world and produce smarter citizens you may want to change this. (Or lower, if you wish to increase happiness) Raising the limit is predicted to have a positive effect on the economy in the long-run. Possible cost increase for education. (But with your current treasury that shouldn't be a problem) ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

I raise the mandatory to 13 years of education. (I think that makes 1 year of college mandatory..)

(Ahh being a coolcat and going 3 years higher than US standards =P) Realize too dramatic of a change with this law will decrease happiness more dramatically as well. But if you're okay with this change just confirm it. ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

If decreased by two years, You make up til 11th grade mandatory. So basically they would have to finish junior year before they are able to drop out if they wanted. (One year higher than US standard.) ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

You have no bad relations with anyone currently, you are pretty much neutral with most, but hold a natural bond with your neighbor Germany which makes you good potential allies. ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

You can contact Germany for an alliance, but you may want to find a way to strengthen relations a little more first if you're going for a full-blown alliance. Such as making a trade route before hand (and giving it a few months to give a positive affect in which they'll grow to like you more). Or possibly just negotiating with them and seeing what kind of alliance you can get now. So negotiate? Or try to increase relations first? (Note any created alliance can easily be re-negotiated and improved later on.) ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

(If you want to make it all official you can type up your own letter to the current leader of Germany, or you can be simple and just say what you want to get from negotiations and I can say how it goes.) ~Deutsche Phönix~ ~Ein-Geflügelt Phönix~

I want, in negotiations, to receive... A treaty stating protection of each-other for 1 year, or until edited, and trading.
