jose i know, but mostly it's just clothing, you have no copyright assets over it since it isnt like a irl business, and roblox has no copyright assets so if you're planning to sue, roblox has no copyright assets so they'll decline the case most likely May god thy gold refine.

We upload them because we care about others having good clothing. We upload them for many reasons.

It's not like you can do anything about it. You don't have any copyright claims on it since you aren't a real business or company, therefore you really can't do anything about it unless Roblox cares that much to take the clothing down, which they probably don't. "ya'll need to watch what ur saying, have you made a piece of clothing and had it copied b4? most likely not." Nice logic buddy if we use that logic than almost no one on the internet can criticize almost anything. I don't have to make clothing to give my opinion on clothing or on this topic me not being able to make clothing doesn't excuse this guy from getting criticism.

The only difference between clothes "designers" and clothes ####### is that the designers search google for stuff to steal without permission, while ####### steal from the site without permission.

"No one told you that you had to upload clothes that don't really matter." no one had to ask me to make this thread but you're still replying to it, eh? "jose i know, but mostly it's just clothing, you have no copyright assets over it since it isnt like a irl business, and roblox has no copyright assets so if you're planning to sue, roblox has no copyright assets so they'll decline the case most likely" wasn't planning on sueing anyone. roblox needs to respect their developers. "Why do you care about earning fake money? Are you that desperate for it?" sadly you don't any money to even know what dev ex is :/

"Been there, it's seriously not that hard to make it impossible to view the template as a player. Even if they for some reason want to leave it, just apply an intense watermark." You're right, it's not hard to. However, it causes problems, like nobody being able to see your shirt. Isn't that the entire reason we have such a variety of clothing-so people can actually SEE it? ITT: People with #### understanding of how clothing works in ROBLOX. If you watermark the image, it's going to appear in game. That image IS what gets downloaded by your client to create someone's shirt. The shirt object is only something you can buy - that image is the actual shirt itself. If you're going to deface it, there isn't even a point in having it.

"I bet 97% of designers get their clothing from pictures off of the internet" At the end of the day it doesn't matter what it is. A design is a design. You're still paying money for it and yet sadly the money is being stolen, but even more at the bottom of the day, doesn't matter if it's free or for money. People should know who originally put it together and there doesn't need to be thousands of copies of it in the catalog.

Hang on let me drop a few posts From cpn's thread: "Essentially as soon as we upload a piece of clothing ROBLOX owns it. They're just being nice enough to let you make virtual currency out of it as you made it. Anyone who copies a piece of clothing is copying a ROBLOX asset and I assume since ROBLOX doesn't do anything about clothing copying unless it's an extremely famous designer such as BlobMista they don't really have the time or man power to crack down on duplications of clothing assets because at the end of the day they still belong to ROBLOX." -Gidein "No support, blocking asset pages is laughably easy to bypass and will just cause unneeded headaches for scripters trying to find the Roblox Image asset for a decal, trying to check the length of an audio file, or linking people to old versions of their assets." - Internevicus "And I will say this time and time again - it is technically impossible to block access to an asset page. Yes, you can block access to anything that isn't the ROBLOX client. Yes, even the skiddiest of hackers can bypass that in five minutes tops. Your report copy idea won't work either because none of the moderation on ROBLOX is done by hand. It's all automated by a (really crappy) bot. Yes, it could compare SHA-1 hashes. Here's the super secret way to bypass this (OMG EXPLOIT LEAK!) - use mspaint and put a tiny white dot somewhere outside the template's actual clothing data. Finally, clothes designing honestly requires no talent or skill to do. It takes 10 minutes of googling for textures and about 5 minutes of using ################ draw tools. Everyone I know who is actually skilled at graphics design (and even a certain really unskilled one I shall leave unnamed - a certain one who worked on a game ending in ":Remade" - yes you. You're terribad.) - has realized this and moved on to making thumbnails/icons/ads for games. So all in all, it's really not worth ROBLOX's time to bother to implement this, neither is it worth my time to have to find the client's UA string and keep swapping between it and my default one every time I want to find an audio asset's length because the asset page was blocked to protect a bunch of wannabe fashion designers." - Internevcius "I design clothes, but I really don't support this. You can't restrict access to templates. All addresses need to view them. The template IS the shirt.Without everyone being able to view it,clothing system is broken. As for these non-builders club creator groups" that every one seems to think the creators copy clothes, that's not true at all. It's the kids who upload the clothing into the group store NOT the creators.I don't get why they would remove a group as that group did nothing,it was the members. As for the roblox university shirt, they didn't stop clothing copying at all. They hid it behind a second jump.If you press inspect element, you'll eventually find a link to the template. Putting on the user's profile that they have copied clothes before will do literally nothing, nobody would even take a second to look, and isn't that harassment?" -blox6man "So saving an image to your computer and uploading it makes you a jerk? Can't wait to see what bias like that makes you. You used the Jordan logo, am I correct? The logo does not belong to you, and if the real people who owned that logo saw that, they'd get the logo right off the site. You call it yours, when you clearly violated the Terms Of Service. So, if anyone calls this stealing, maybe stop using copyrighted material and passing it off as your own. I design, and if a 7 year old can make more money than you just by copying clothing, that's just somethig you have to deal with, because we can't stop it. He must have advertised it, just uploading clothing and stating that it is original doesn't get you anywhere." - blox6man Enjoy reading this. :)
